00:00You guys are New Year's Eve every day from 10 to 6.
00:03I had to go deep, deep, deep, deep into it in my bag.
00:06Now, back to Stiney and Guru on 95.7 The Game.
00:11All right, it's time for the crossover.
00:14And on a Friday, it's brought to you by Atko Pest Control.
00:18What's Bugging You segment coming up in 10 minutes.
00:21And sometime in the next 20 minutes, you're going to hear a sounder.
00:26And when you hear that sounder, be caller number 5 to the contest line.
00:31And you'll get two tickets to the Giants-Dodgers game next Saturday, September 26.
00:38So, next 20 minutes, we'll be giving away two tickets to the Giants-Dodgers a week from Saturday.
00:43The fellas.
00:45What's going on, yeah?
00:46It's Friday.
00:46Not a payday Friday.
00:47Those are gone.
00:48They are.
00:48Stiney said, yeah, but how fun is a payday Tuesday?
00:52I mean, Tuesday needs no way.
00:54But Tuesday needs help.
00:56Friday's already cool.
00:58Tuesday's lame.
00:59I like a payday Tuesday.
01:01Remember I texted you last Friday, Dibs, I was at the bar and go,
01:03Willard, my thing did hit, and I texted Dibs like, isn't it payday?
01:07Yeah.
01:08No joker.
01:09Not anymore.
01:10But now your check's going to be bigger, isn't it?
01:11A little bit, yeah.
01:12And so, coming up in 12 days, it's a payday Wednesday.
01:16So, woo-hoo.
01:18Can we get, oh, go ahead.
01:19Dibs, I'm coming to you on this one because it's obvious.
01:23It better not be medical.
01:24It is medical.
01:25Apparently, I know nothing about it.
01:27No, you know everything about it.
01:28That's, like, aren't you worried about his arm?
01:30He was listening, Stiney.
01:31He was listening.
01:32Oh, he was.
01:32Yes.
01:33So was I.
01:33He just went but tumbled.
01:35What do you think it is, Dibs?
01:35We tried to get to.
01:37I'm not qualified to say, Matt.
01:39Will, you are not.
01:40That's true.
01:40You're qualified to weigh in on every warrior injury?
01:42Let's weigh in on two.
01:44First of all, I did not diagnose the injury.
01:47I gave him a recommended course of action to treat it.
01:52And I heard your whole thing about, you know, what I do and what I don't do.
01:57So, yeah, I'm not going to weigh in until you're gone at 212.
02:02And you know what?
02:03I was driving.
02:04And another thing.
02:05And another one.
02:06I actually, I put in the work.
02:08Okay?
02:09So something happens.
02:10Go to med school?
02:10For example, Dijon Stribling has a deltoid injury.
02:14You thought that it was in his upper body.
02:16But I put the work in.
02:18And I look at it.
02:19Exactly.
02:19And I realize what it is.
02:21And then I go to the experts.
02:22And I watch their podcasts.
02:25Not only Dr. Nirav Pandya.
02:26But his co-worker, Brian Feely, who, as you well know, Stiney, is the step-brother of Curtis
02:33Abbey.
02:35Curtis Abbey.
02:36Okay.
02:36So Curtis Abbey, who's a golfer, a guy that we know, his sister is married to Dr. Brian
02:41Feely.
02:42And so when you watch the pod and you learn about what the injury is, you actually get
02:47educated.
02:47And so I will never pretend that I'm a doctor.
02:50But as far as the majority of you jabronis go, I know countless more than all of you combined.
02:56This is like the video of us with the old bitches.
02:59I mean, every single week that I've ever worked with you.
03:03Own it, James.
03:03It's fine.
03:03Just own it.
03:04I'm radio doctor.
03:05Yeah.
03:05I've never shown up in a lab coat and put my shingle on the wall.
03:09That would not be a bad bit, though.
03:11I think that would not be a bad bit.
03:13Halloween, I'm kind of surprised you haven't.
03:15I show up and I act like I'm a football film expert and Greg Cosell suns me every week.
03:22And that's kind of fun.
03:23It's a fun bit when I say, you know, they were running the read option.
03:27Actually, no, it was his own read.
03:29Do you ever make a mistake on purpose now just to see him correct you?
03:34Don't you dare say yes.
03:35No, God, no.
03:36I would almost try.
03:37He came out with his safeties high on Saturday.
03:41Dude, totally.
03:41Just to hear what he said.
03:43On that second and five of the day, we were in the dime.
03:46Actually, it was a nickel.
03:47The linebacker was, you know, dropped into coverage.
03:49I mean, come on.
03:50You could do an unbelievable bit on every question he could correct you on.
03:56Man, he's the scientist.
03:57It's actually something that we've been thinking about because at the end of the bit now, we ask him a
04:01question.
04:01Usually, Mark, no shock.
04:03And we know that the answer is going to be, come on.
04:06Or, you know.
04:07Which is trying to piss him off.
04:08Yeah, there you go.
04:09So, Derek, I mean, Dolphins getting 13 and a half.
04:12What do you like?
04:13You're going to ask me that.
04:15I've never met someone who is so averse to giving his own opinion.
04:21He didn't really ask me that.
04:22He didn't do it.
04:23He, like, he cannot.
04:25I'd love to know on a Friday night what happens when somebody says, where do you want to go to
04:30dinner?
04:30I don't miss an episode.
04:31Like, you just.
04:32We got to look at the film.
04:33I mean, that's a hard question to answer because, like, we don't know exactly what they're going to serve.
04:38When we get there.
04:39And he also shared with you guys, he was a hooper back in the day.
04:42Oh, yeah, he loves that.
04:42Ernie Grunfeld.
04:43He had no answer for Ernie Grunfeld.
04:45He played against Grunfeld?
04:46Yes.
04:47Oh, my God.
04:47He said, he won, man.
04:48He was great.
04:49As Stiney knows, and I'm sure you've seen the 30 for 30 Ernie and Bernie.
04:53Yes, absolutely.
04:54Bernard King and Ernie Grunfeld, they were Tennessee teammates.
04:57And so, you know, Cosell was, like, quietly 6'4".
05:00He had no answer for Ernie Grunfeld.
05:02I was actually listening to Cosell yesterday, and I was practicing trying to do an impression of him.
05:09Oh, my God.
05:10Did you?
05:11I've only got, like, the stuff to say.
05:13Let's hear it, baby.
05:14But, you know, I.
05:16Give me one.
05:17Let me.
05:19Randy's got the cuts right there.
05:20Yeah, but they're all two minutes.
05:21Let me see something here.
05:23Let me just.
05:23When they were in their nickel, they predominantly played with two deep safeties.
05:29So, they did not have.
05:30So, when they're in the nickel.
05:32No, I can't do it.
05:33No, I can't do it.
05:33You're too great.
05:34I can't do it.
05:35No, but I want.
05:36Get him here.
05:36That's just silly.
05:37This weekend.
05:38Because this is.
05:39Six months ago, this was Dibs and McVay.
05:42It wasn't right.
05:43Because you got them down.
05:44It was three times he talks his Dibs.
05:45He worked on it.
05:46And now.
05:47Now it's ready.
05:48Now it's ready.
05:49Now, I don't know why Brock Purdy decided to throw that ball there.
05:55I'm just telling you that through the process, he can process.
06:00I can't do it.
06:01No, it's great.
06:01No, I liked it.
06:02He's forever excited.
06:03No, no.
06:03The early workings are there.
06:05Yeah.
06:06And also, like.
06:07The nasal thing going on.
06:08Just a little bit of subtle.
06:09And when he says, I don't know why he'd throw it there.
06:11And I would never pretend to put myself in the mind of Brock Purdy.
06:14Because he always immediately is like, I mean, how can I think what Kyle Shanahan would possibly
06:19have thought in that moment?
06:20Like, he's actually, he's actually, he eliminates 80% of what you want to talk about.
06:27But the 20% is still incredible.
06:29It's gold.
06:31100%.
06:32And at times, he will make you feel this large for what you asked.
06:37Because he will, within 10 seconds, be like, you're not even allowed to ask that.
06:41That doesn't make any sense.
06:43But then.
06:46All right, Giants fans.
06:47There's your cue to call.
06:48Be the fifth caller to the contest line at 415-523-4652.
06:53And you'll score a pair of tickets to see the Giants take on the Dodgers at Oracle Park
06:57next Saturday, September 26th.
06:59This is courtesy of Bank of America.
07:01Good luck.
07:02One more time.
07:03415-523-4652.
07:07Greg, what do you think Purdy was thinking on that one throw?
07:12He would just go nuts.
07:14Well, we can't answer that, Stiney.
07:15Because, actually, the first thing we need to say is that in 10 minutes, there'll be another, another pair of
07:23tickets.
07:23Keep that in mind.
07:24Anything to break up the throwaway right now.
07:28But, yeah, 10 minutes or so, there'll be another one.
07:30Let's get to the nitty-gritty.
07:31You two have been in the game for a while.
07:34I'm not a hater.
07:35I think you guys know that.
07:36But when you've got to specify that, that means you're hating.
07:38Your thoughts on the joint and Pat McAfee.
07:41It just bothers me.
07:42And I like Pat Steele, but that's a flex.
07:47It's a flex.
07:48The Cheech and Chalk.
07:49Well, and I can't speak to what you were intimating earlier about the racial component of it.
07:54I just thought, I just had that thought.
07:55Yeah, and I don't know what his contract is.
07:58And as you guys were saying that, I was thinking to myself, you know what?
08:01I wonder if anybody in the room, other than me, because Mark, I mean, he hates referee dibs.
08:06But about six months ago, I went into our employee handbook, and I was starting to look at all the
08:12things that we can and cannot do here at 95.7 The Game.
08:17And I'm looking, I'm like, oh, I know somebody who does that.
08:19And, oh, my goodness, I've done that.
08:21And we've done that.
08:22Can I ask these two a quick question?
08:24Sure.
08:24Would you even know where to find the employee handbook?
08:27I would not.
08:27I didn't even know we had one.
08:28I just wanted to get that out there.
08:31I love that.
08:31You're talking about what you found, and we don't even know where you found the book.
08:36Odyssey at work.com.
08:37And it's a treasure trove of information.
08:39Like, you can file your, the old school concurter expense reports and the emails there and the HR stuff.
08:47And so we had an incident about six or seven months ago, and somebody got into hot water here.
08:53And I was like, you know what?
08:54I wonder what they may have done.
08:57I didn't know.
08:57And so I was like, you know, beyond, like, my own curiosity, what are the things that are in there?
09:02A deep dive.
09:03What are the things that are in there that maybe we should be aware of that are actual infractions?
09:08Before you tried to just go direct to the person to find out what happened, you went to the handbook
09:14to find out what was possible?
09:16It's none of my business.
09:17Well, what is?
09:19We still ask each other questions.
09:20But you wanted to know.
09:21You know what's my business?
09:22You know the person.
09:23The Odyssey handbook is my business.
09:25But you know the person.
09:26Right, but it was still pretty fresh and recent.
09:29And so I didn't want to, hey, could it have been A, B, or C?
09:33So I was going through the handbook, and I was looking at like, oh, I mean, I've done that.
09:38And heck, like, everyone in this room has done that.
09:40And I was a little bit shocked at what is in there that we're not really allowed to do.
09:45Say anything about doing shots with Baldy?
09:48I believe alcohol use on the job is not only frowned upon, but I believe it is not something that
09:56you are allowed to do.
09:58But you dare wouldn't do that in here, Mark.
10:00What do you mean?
10:01Have a shot, you know.
10:02We did it.
10:03Yeah, but not in here.
10:04What's the difference?
10:06Try it.
10:07That'll show you the difference.
10:08I mean.
10:09You can't have a shot while we're doing the show.
10:11We did it.
10:12During the show.
10:12Not in here.
10:14No, but again.
10:15Why is the guy that used to do shots in the bathroom?
10:17Why is the physical piece?
10:19Why is the physical building, why is that the linchpin?
10:23Because it's more professional, and that was a special occasion.
10:27Sure, but.
10:28And we were getting egged on by a live audience.
10:31All right.
10:31Yes.
10:31But in here, it would hit different to me.
10:33I guess.
10:33I don't know that it would hit different to corporate.
10:37You know what I mean?
10:38If they wanted, like if we were on Shake the Clown.
10:42Pat has no, that's what he told us.
10:44He has no corporate.
10:45Well, the whole thing is so fascinating.
10:46Obviously, the guy's very, very powerful.
10:49Okay.
10:50Obviously, he's got the juice.
10:51I listened to you guys talk this all out.
10:53That's all.
10:54Okay, so what?
10:55He's standing in the state of Indiana, and it's illegal there?
10:58Is that right?
10:59That component.
11:00I don't even know where it's illegal and where it's not.
11:02I'm not offended by it.
11:04The one area where I took Stiney's side in this conversation,
11:08I think you're putting too much into the fact that it was on TV.
11:13That's generational.
11:15Like when I hear people go.
11:16But that's a perfect TV used to be perfect.
11:18You could never do that on.
11:20Used to be.
11:20And Disney.
11:21And so when you say Disney and, uh-oh, the kids,
11:24where do you think the kids are?
11:26The kids are on their phone.
11:28So what Matt Barnes and Steven Jackson do, to me,
11:31is way more accessible and normalized.
11:33I'll give you that.
11:34For teenagers than Pat McAfee on ESPN,
11:37which, by the way, started as a YouTube product also years ago
11:41and now has just been purchased.
11:43I don't really see much difference between if you're on Instagram,
11:49YouTube, or traditional TV.
11:51And I did this to Stiney, and I'm not going to run from it or shy from it.
11:55I hear you, Mark.
11:55But I brought up the race component.
11:56If that were Michael Irvin employed by ESPN,
11:59and I felt like he did that, he wouldn't have finished the show.
12:02I have no way to prove that I'm right, but I have those thoughts of,
12:06and that's power, and I like Pat, but he's telling us,
12:09basically, I got the juice.
12:11But I also like Stiney's rebuttal of Charles Barkley,
12:14who has thrown people through bar windows.
12:17All right.
12:19You're listening to 95.7 The Game, KGMZ FM and HD1 San Francisco
12:23and Odyssey Sports Station in the home of the Warriors and Valkyries.
12:26Always live on the free Odyssey app.
12:28And now coming to you live from the Laughing Monk Studios.
12:31Laughing Monk righteously brewed in the city.
12:33And rodents start moving indoors as conditions change.
12:38Atco Pest Control removes rodents and blocks entry points.
12:42Visit atcopest.com and mention you heard about Atco on the
12:46What's Bugging You segment and get 10% off rodent services this month.
12:51All right.
12:53Who's Ricky Henderson?
12:54I'll go first.
12:55I'll go first.
12:56You want to know what's bugging me?
12:57Sean McVay's sunglasses.
12:59That's what's bugging me.
13:00Sean McVay's sunglasses.
13:02And I am not ever the fashion police,
13:06and I am not always like about librarian decorum by any stretch.
13:11But Bonte pointed this out.
13:13You want to talk about the race dynamic?
13:16Okay.
13:16Give it.
13:16I missed it.
13:17What if Raheem Morris did this?
13:20Well, how would you feel about it?
13:23And furthermore, though, to keep it lighter,
13:26I just, why don't the 49ers might have broken the Rams?
13:31I have not seen one.
13:33Look at the, look.
13:34Yeah.
13:34He did a whole press conference and basically said.
13:37I was shocked.
13:38I was like, yeah.
13:38In his shades, I hope we never go to Australia again.
13:41Again, from the moment week one started,
13:44tell me one right thing that has gone on for the Rams.
13:49And then to come out of that and, you know, wear whatever you want.
13:52I'm sort of being playful, but I looked at it,
13:55and I'm just like, get over yourselves.
13:59Don't lose Monday.
14:00Yeah.
14:01Yeah, exactly.
14:02Like, I'm really watching that game.
14:04Don't lose Monday.
14:06Get over yourselves.
14:08Well, this is a little bit of a conundrum for me,
14:10because I had McVay too, but you kept it to his sunglasses.
14:14I did.
14:15All right.
14:15I'm going to go the other way and say him saying,
14:20I hope we never play in Australia again is one of the worst things
14:25the guy could have said.
14:26He should have said, if we ever play in Australia again,
14:31I'm probably going to go about things different.
14:34Boom.
14:35It's like, they messed up in such a big way.
14:39I can't believe I'm saying this too, but I'm not convinced this won't happen.
14:45Like, I got to see how the rest of their season goes,
14:49because I get it.
14:50One game isn't going to dictate the season, but there's something else.
14:55There's something going on there.
14:58It's just something.
14:58I can't figure it out.
15:00I think McVay really knows he messed up,
15:06but he still doesn't want to go down that road.
15:10And so if you don't want to go back down that road,
15:12then just pretend it never happened and move forward.
15:15But it did happen.
15:18Like, I don't know.
15:19I'll think you guys are onto something if they go 0-1-2.
15:22I think the boogeyman's in their closet right now.
15:25Because Miles is out.
15:26Miles is out, and they have not confirmed that Aaron Donald is in.
15:31The whole thing was, I think, a perfect storm of the Rams,
15:35knowing that they're going to go there,
15:36because they're one of the teams in that market.
15:39And the 49ers were going to get the Shanghai,
15:42because they've held the hard knocks at bay forever.
15:46And so every year it's like, you know, the Niners,
15:48you were one of the teams.
15:49And I do think behind the scenes, the Niners have said,
15:52no, we're not doing it.
15:53And so the Rams said, you know, how about you give us the Niners?
15:56That way we don't have to have a home game in L.A.
15:59that's actually their home game.
16:01And Shanahan has to go to Australia.
16:03The Niners have two international games.
16:05I think they're the first team ever to have two international games
16:09on two different continents.
16:10And so I think part of that is because they've kept the hard knocks at bay,
16:14and McVay thought that he was doing chestnut checkers
16:17and having that game down there.
16:18And it turned out it was a Niner home game,
16:20and they traveled poorly.
16:22But there's something else, too, and I get it.
16:24And I said, this is probably corny, all right?
16:27But I'm just thinking about, okay,
16:29so the Niners get down there eight days before.
16:31They spend a week in Australia.
16:34They clearly have fun, but they clearly have practice.
16:37And they just kick the Rams' ass.
16:41So, like, they get it all.
16:43They get a week in Australia.
16:45And I know it's like, okay, so big.
16:48But now they enjoyed it.
16:49They went down to Australia, had a good time.
16:50And they had experiences they never had before.
16:52And they're going to remember it fondly.
16:54Like, if I'm a Ram player, I'm just like,
16:57now you're not only saying,
16:59why didn't we get down there a week early?
17:01But I think, you know, your coach made a mistake.
17:04You didn't take the game as seriously as you should have.
17:07And now we'll just see how it all kind of plays out.
17:10Like, if I were a Ram player, I get it.
17:13It's a football game.
17:14But why can't we go to Australia for a week?
17:18Seriously.
17:19I think people told you that it was dumb.
17:21You need to get there when they got there.
17:23I guess.
17:23And we'll see if it was dumb on the back end.
17:26I actually think that, you know,
17:27them doing it that way gives them a better chance on Monday.
17:30I could be guessing and spitballing,
17:33but I don't really quite know how that's going to go on the backside, Grandy.
17:40All right, Giants fans, there's your cue.
17:42Call in and be caller number five to the contest line at 415-523-4652.
17:47And you score a pair of tickets to see the Giants take on the Dodgers at Oracle Park
17:51next Saturday, September 26th, courtesy of Bank of America.
17:55Good luck.
17:56The number one more time, 415-523-4652.
18:00Real quick before we get the other two,
18:03Kalon Black, questionable for Sunday, according to Kyle Shanahan,
18:07which is what Daryl Johnston kind of suggested we had him on earlier today.
18:12He was great, by the way.
18:13He was great.
18:14And he talked to Kyle Shanahan just before the game.
18:16Technically, kicker Eddie Pinero also.
18:18He's sick.
18:19Questionable.
18:21I've got to go get a kicker.
18:23No, he'll be all right.
18:25Because you think you get a lot of chance.
18:26That's the whole injury report is those two players being questionable.
18:29Stribbling is technically not on IR yet, so he's listed as out, but we knew that.
18:33Yep, okay.
18:34And Eddie Pinero's sick.
18:35I wonder if he can not.
18:36He missed practice all week.
18:37Yeah, pull through.
18:38All right.
18:38I wonder if he's going to be able to pick up the game plan.
18:41Right.
18:42Hey, Eddie, kick it there.
18:44See those uprights?
18:45Oh, yeah, I got it, Coach.
18:46Go ahead and put it between them.
18:47Remember when people got mad at Kyle, I don't really talk to kickers.
18:50Well, yeah.
18:51Did he say something like that?
18:52Totally.
18:52Yeah, I don't really do with that.
18:54It was a problem with Joe Moody, but now that your kicker's good, it doesn't matter anymore.
18:57Exactly.
18:57I'll go next.
18:58What's bugging me is really silly and frivolous, but it's mechanical pencils.
19:03And you get a mechanical pencil, and you push the thing, tick, tick, and you bring
19:06out a couple of pieces of lead.
19:08I hate it.
19:08And you try to write, and then it snaps off.
19:10And so, tick, tick.
19:11Now you've got to do a couple more pieces of lead, and it's never enough.
19:15If you do one click, it's not enough lead to really do a thick line.
19:19And Willard knows this.
19:21I'm a big pencil guy.
19:22And so, for me, the mechanical pencil is a joke.
19:26And as I check the clock, my wife is still at work for another 23 minutes.
19:30Our house is full of them.
19:31So, I had to go in her desk drawer, and I pulled out a bunch of Adrian McMullen, her maiden
19:39name.
19:39She had a bunch of pencils, like real pencils.
19:42Ever heard Faber?
19:43Not quite.
19:44I can show you, but point being, I have a metal sharpener that I keep with me, and I use
19:49old-school pencils.
19:50But at home, all you can find is mechanical pencils, and they're stupid.
19:55I'm not mad.
19:56I cannot.
19:56When they break, it's like, come on.
19:58But I'm listening to you, and I'm trying to remember the last time in my life that I used a
20:05pencil.
20:06I don't even know where the hell I would find one in my house if someone...
20:09In my backpack.
20:10Okay?
20:11There's this one.
20:12Listen to you.
20:13That's beautiful.
20:13We'll see you.
20:14He's got number two pencil.
20:15This one's about to get discarded, and I've got this one from my daughter's preschool with a fresh eraser.
20:21See, I would chew on that.
20:23I used to chew on the eraser all the time.
20:25I listen to your answer in my backpack.
20:27Like, you sound 17 right now.
20:30Whatever.
20:30I can have a briefcase, but a backpack is much more handy.
20:35You are absolutely right.
20:37One click is not enough, and two is too many.
20:40Two clicks is vulnerable.
20:41Oh, God.
20:42Absolutely.
20:43Two clicks, if you want to press down, that thing's going to snap off.
20:46So...
20:47Wow.
20:47Whatever.
20:48Mechanical pencils.
20:49I haven't seen one in a while, Will.
20:51What's bugging me is scheduling.
20:52Grandy, don't take this the wrong way.
20:54I love to gamble.
20:55We all know that.
20:56We all do.
20:57But tonight, there is a college football game.
20:59Portland State visits Oregon.
21:02Oregon's the 21st-ranked team in the country, and this is what I have a problem with.
21:06And I want to know why the game was scheduled and what Portland State, how much that check is.
21:12Oregon is favored by 58 and a half points.
21:17Why is this game being played?
21:19And how do you bet it?
21:21But 58 and a half, that's got to be the biggest line I've ever seen in my life.
21:26But who's going to be satisfied watching this game knowing we think one team's going to score at least 60
21:33points?
21:35How does this happen?
21:37It happens every week.
21:38I thought it was a joke.
21:39If you go back to last week and the scores and whatever, Cal, she's got me looking at things in
21:44a different way.
21:45And last week, Indiana was playing, I think it was Howard, and the number was 55 and a half.
21:51And I think they went 56 to nothing.
21:54And there was another game last week.
21:55Somebody put up 80.
21:56Somebody put up 80 last week.
21:58Miami 77 over, I forget who they were playing.
22:01I know AI is going to kill us in 10 years, but it's fun for now.
22:04So 2012, Florida State, Savannah State, 70 and a hook.
22:11Did it cover?
22:11Known as the largest spread in the history of college football.
22:18And people are actually betting.
22:20The game was called off in the third quarter due to severe weather with Florida State leading 55 to nothing.
22:29So the Knolls did not get a chance.
22:33Oh, some gamblers were hot.
22:35I bet.
22:36I would imagine.
22:3758 and a half.
22:38This might be pre-gambling, but let's not pretend that this isn't a time-honored tradition
22:43because the biggest win ever was Georgia Tech beating Cumberland College in 1916.
22:49Cumberland.
22:502-22 to nothing.
22:52I've never heard of it.
22:53I would have known if they covered.
22:542-22.
22:552-22 to nothing.
22:57Yeah, that stood out, man.
22:58So good team playing Patsy.
23:00It goes back as far as the Woodrow Wilson administration.
23:04Will, you think they cover, Grandy?
23:05You think they cover?
23:06I mean, Oregon has been disappointing both weeks so far.
23:10Yeah, imagine if they were good.
23:11They would have been favored by 80.
23:13So Portland State obviously gets a check.
23:15Of course.
23:16Man.
23:17You know the answer to this.
23:18Yeah, enjoy it.
23:19You'll be watching.
23:20What if they cover that?
23:21Because you watch everything.
23:22They won't win.
23:24Before we leave, I do have a personal question for Dan Dibley.
23:27Go ahead.
23:28Are you playing this fall classic?
23:30Oh, yeah.
23:30Sunday, no doubt.
23:31All right.
23:32I'm in.
23:32Sweet.
23:33Blue Rock.
23:34Blue Rock Springs.
23:35What does that mean, the fall classic?
23:37We have a golf group.
23:38No, I get it, but I want to hear this.
23:40It's the first event of the new season.
23:42There are six events monthly, and if you play the best in those six events, you become the
23:48fall series champion.
23:49Shout out Johnny Lawrence, last year's champ.
23:51And my biggest issue is I usually don't make all six, but I'm coming out hot.
23:56I'll play in the first two, and then we'll see.
23:59Blue Rock Springs in Vallejo.
24:02How the hell did this all come together?
24:04Who started this?
24:05I love the concept.
24:06This is so organized.
24:08There's a group of guys who went to Santa Barbara together.
24:11You see Santa Barbara back in the late 80s, and they stayed friends.
24:15They started this group back in 1993, and so every year we'd have the tournament, which
24:21we still do in July, and now we have all these offshoot events, and now the majority
24:26of the guys in the group have kids who also play, and some play very well.
24:30So it's become a multi-generational, like loosely, not loosely organized, but tightly
24:36organized golf group, and, you know, there's a thread on WhatsApp, and so there's a constant
24:41amount of info and, you know, tee times, and it's pretty fun.
24:45But your boy, real quick, Sonny, just relax, one second.
24:49We were talking about something I did on the hoop court not too long ago, and me being
24:52hurt is karma, and he talked about he threw his club, and he didn't golf for five to ten
24:58years.
24:58He put himself in golf jail.
25:00Yeah, you remember that.
25:01It was at Metro.
25:02Well, you didn't borrow your club.
25:04No, I hit my bag with my club.
25:05Right, and many, many things.
25:07Pat McAfee would be shattered based on some of the damage that you're doing.
25:10My sunglasses.
25:11That's a wrong restriction, don't you?
25:12How long did you sit out?
25:14I don't know.
25:15It was like, I don't know, a few years.
25:16Did you break the club?
25:18Probably.
25:19You don't even know?
25:20Oh, I broke the bag.
25:22Yes.
25:22Broke the bag.
25:23I broke my glasses, and I broke the jar.
25:25But why so long?
25:26It wasn't that long, but I mean.
25:28It was a couple years at least.
25:29What club?
25:30Five Iron.
25:31I remember it.
25:32I'll never forget it.
25:33Oh, those are hard to hear.
25:34I don't want to talk about this.
25:35He was going head to head with a mutual friend.
25:38This should be a story about growth.
25:40Growth.
25:40It's a story about the one time you actually lost it.
25:44Yeah.
25:45Because how many times have you seen me throw a club, Steini?
25:48We were talking about that.
25:49Seventy-nine?
25:50Hundred and eight?
25:52You had one bad moment.
25:54Not six.
25:55Sorry, LeBron.
25:56You had to boost that up.
25:57You had one bad moment, and you took two years off.
26:00I threw a club and played later that day.
26:03All right.
26:03Have a great show, guys.
26:05Okay, thank you.
26:06All right.
26:06We will.
26:07Love you guys.
26:07Love you guys.
26:07Love you guys.
