00:00Hi, I'm Jackie. This is Bill. We're very proud to be finalists in the Innovation Award for New South Wales.
00:08We're coming to you from Glenbrook, our family farm east of Armidale in the north of the state.
00:14The nomination for these awards is based around our innovation called OptiWay.
00:19It's an autonomous, empathic livestock weighing system.
00:23We started developing OptiWay here at Glenbrook back in about 2014,
00:28just to solve our own need to get more information about the performance of our stock
00:32without having to constantly bring them to the yards just to weigh them.
00:36During the drought of 2018 and 2019, we set out to commercialise OptiWay.
00:42Since then, we've sold over 2,000 units into nine countries
00:46and built a business in our local town employing over 20 people
00:49across manufacturing, software engineering, sales and support.
00:54But the thing we're most proud of has been the ability of our innovation
00:58to positively impact the productivity and profitability of our livestock producing peers.
