00:00Mike Gundy, we've played a couple of clips of him talking about NIL over the first couple

00:08of weeks of the season.

00:09Remember, we played the one where he's like, you know, shop's closed, you know, it's time

00:13for football, et cetera, et cetera.

00:15Well, apparently not.

00:16Mike still wants to make a point about a few of these things.

00:20This past weekend against Arkansas, Division II transfer linebacker, Obi Azigbo, stepped

00:26in and played very well for him.

00:27The media asked Mike yesterday, man, where'd you find this kid that stepped in and played

00:32so well at linebacker?

00:33Here's what Mike said.

00:34What was it about him and just what did you like about what you saw from the game and

00:39stuff?

00:40Do you want me to go back into coach talk or do you want me to tell you the truth?

00:43The truth.

00:44The truth?

00:45Yes.

00:46He was very inexpensive.

00:50The number of players that we go after that were ready to play at this level, we can't

00:54afford.

00:55So he was a good buy and a really quality young man that had had success and has physical

01:03characteristics that we can work with Rob Glass and develop him.

01:09And so that's why we.

01:11That's why he ended up here, in my opinion.

01:14Wow, that is that is brutally honest and brilliant.

01:18I love it.

01:19It's just like that's exactly what's happened to college football, is that now there's the

01:25haves and have nots.

01:26You either have the money to buy your team or like, you know, Miami Canes, their whole

01:31team is bought and paid for.

01:33It is absolutely the high.

01:36Even the girls basketball team is bought and paid for.

01:38They brought back those Cavendish twins.
