00:00G'day Brett Shea, reporting in from the NVLX monthly store sale conducted by Elders, Nutrien and Ray White.
00:061,800 cattle were yarded here today and the trend across all weights and grades was dearer,
00:13certainly dearer than recent markets and a fair way dearer than our August fixture.
00:20Grown steers and feeder steers, we got out as far as $5.90 on 450 or 60 kilos.
00:27Once you step back into the wiener run, we did have a couple of feature lines of black cattle,
00:31one lot out of Finlay, of Count Gembrae and another lot of Hookville Angus.
00:35Out of Swift's Creek, Omeo region, we saw the run of those calves, the lighter end of them,
00:42sort of touching late $6 a kilo.
00:46The heavy end of those calves were either side of $6.
00:50There was a real appetite you could see today for sort of either side of $2,000 was a real
00:55sweet spot.
00:55There was plenty of people that wanted to compete in that range and we'd say that was probably
00:59anywhere from sort of $0.30, $0.40, $0.50 a kilo stronger than our monthly sale last month.
01:06So that was really strong.
01:08And then, yeah, once you move into the heifers, it was mid to high sort of $5 range on most
01:13weights and grades.
01:15So, yeah, really strong sale.
01:17Been a fair bit of rain in the supply area in the last month.
01:21Feeds growing, weather's warm and, yeah, onwards and upwards.
