Rodwells Wodonga auctioneer Scott Campbell discusses the sale.
Transcript
00:00The sale was moved up from Yaroa to Wangaratta at combined agents with Nutrien and Elders.
00:04I think approximately two and a half thousand cattle here today. Very solid and a very tidy
00:10yarding of cattle again. Much from the fire affected areas? Yeah a little bit, a bit out of
00:15the Upper Murray and in and around Bullio and also from up in the Longwood fires. So yeah very
00:21very central place to have a sale with what's gone on here in Victoria and North East Victoria for
00:26sure. Of course those cattle obviously fit to sell and fit to load? Yes so the DPI were here and
00:32inspected all the cattle and and gave them all the green light and I'm pretty certain that the boys
00:37wouldn't have loaded any cattle that weren't fit to load as well. Where did they go mainly? Some stayed
00:42local. It was quite a bit of local action here. There was a few commission buyers working. I did
00:48hear GDL buying a few. Ron Rutledge was buying a few for GDL so they've sort of gone at all points
00:53to the GDL again.
