Residents of Oasis Gardens say they have been living with a number of problems in the housing development from security concerns and plumbing issues to what they describe as neglected landscaping and garbage collection.

But their biggest concern right now is security, following a recent vehicle theft at the development.

00:00For residents of Oasis Gardens, what was supposed to be a place to call home has become a source of
00:06growing frustration.
00:08They say several issues remain unresolved, including landscaping, plumbing and structural problems affecting some buildings.
00:16Residents claim the landscaping has not been addressed by the Housing Development Corporation since December 2025.
00:22They also say some buildings have experienced leaks and flooding, with residents reporting water coming through ceilings and other plumbing
00:31-related problems.
00:32But the most depressing issue is security. Residents say security was provided while construction was being completed, but that service
00:41was later removed.
00:42Well, we had security initially when the agency was completing the buildings. They were here like about a month or
00:51two after, and the contract, from what we were told, was pulled.
00:56So the security left, and from that, the gates are opened, so anybody could drive in, drive out.
01:02Residents pointed to a most recent vehicle theft as evidence of what they say is the worsening security situation.
01:09So the latest, Robbie was a resident of Building 18, who, ironically, is the person that the resident would pay
01:18to have the landscaping done.
01:20And he was affected about half, about minutes before a morning, his Nissan Tida was stolen, right in the back
01:28of Building 18.
01:29It was dark, and so ironic that only yesterday, TNT came to commission the light, the light poles inside of
01:41it.
01:41But for one resident, plumbing problems have been an ongoing issue since moving into the development.
02:03Residents say they are paying a monthly HOA fee of $570 and want to see greater accountability and action on
02:12issues affecting the development.
02:13They are now calling on the Housing Development Corporation to address their concerns, particularly the security situation, and provide lasting
02:23solutions to the problems they say are affecting their quality of life.
