00:05as to whether or not Aaron Donald was going to un-retire and become a member of the Los Angeles
00:11Rams.
00:11In the wake of what happened when Miles Garrett was traded for and Cleveland sent him to Los Angeles, everybody
00:19thought, huh, could that happen?
00:23Could Aaron Donald un-retire to go play with the Rams?
00:27And he signed a one-year contract that could be worth as much as $30 million, depending if it hits
00:33every one of his incentives.
00:34But it's a one-year deal to bring him in to be a part of this franchise that creates a
00:42tandem on the defensive line, unlike anything we have seen.
00:47I mean, this is ridiculous.
00:48We have 236 and a half combined sacks between these two players.
00:53Five defensive player of the year awards between these two players and 17 Pro Bowl selections.
01:01These are arguably the two greatest defensive tackles in the history of the NFL, and they will play together on
01:09the same defensive line in 2026.
01:12Aaron Donald yesterday at his press conference to announce the contract said, you bring in a guy like Miles, a
01:20generational talent, and it's like, that can be fun.
01:23That can be fun.
01:25Not for opposing quarterbacks is not going to be fun.
01:28But the Rams are 5-1 to win the Super Bowl at most sportsbooks, somewhere in that range, 5-1.
01:35What do you do with this team?
01:37Because here's the problem.
01:40The Rams are trying to buck a 30-year trend.
01:44The preseason favorite that's had the odds to win it all at 5-1 or less.
01:51It's happened 20 times in the last 30 years.
01:55All 20 of those teams failed to win the Super Bowl.
02:01This is a long, tried, and tested trend that the Rams are going to try to snap, where if you're
02:11the odds-on favorite and you have a short number, 5-1 or less, you don't win the Super Bowl.
02:18Why?
02:19Well, here's the problem.
02:21Football is a long season.
02:24And we look at a team this, you know, right now on the 31st of August, and that roster on
02:32paper is unbelievable.
02:35But Puka Nakua has got some questions, right?

02:39Can he keep himself out of trouble?
02:41You have an aging wide receiver in Devontae Adams, who I love, but he's still getting up there in age.
02:47You have a 38-year-old quarterback in Matthew Stafford, and Ty Simpsons played very well, but it was preseason

02:54What happens if Matthew Stafford gets hurt?
02:56This is the curse of being the hunted.
03:00This is the curse of being the top team in the NFL that everybody just expects you to win the
03:06Super Bowl.
03:07And here's the problem for LA that it goes even farther.
03:10LA is to host the Super Bowl.
03:13The game is being played in the Rams' home stadium.
03:17There is a ton of pressure on the Rams to the point for me, I think the only way to
03:24bet that is to bet against the Rams.
03:27Like, that's the only way to do this.
