00:00Because what you're getting is a real-time reaction
00:02to one of the biggest trades
00:04in the history of the National Football League.
00:08Future first ballot Hall of Famer.
00:11Recently record-breaking sack leader,
00:15Miles Garrett has been traded
00:18to the Los Angeles Rams.
00:23To the LA Rams.
00:25In a deal, Joe,
00:27that sends Jared Verse back to the Cleveland Browns
00:35along with a 2027 first-round draft pick.
00:39There will be some additional compensation, I believe,
00:43that will be going along back to Cleveland.
00:47A stunner doesn't even begin to do it justice.
00:51Miles Garrett is an LA Ram, Joe.
00:57You said it, Kevin.
00:59You said that if you were the Browns,
01:01you would deal Miles Garrett.
01:02And I disagree.
01:04Now, that number was what?
01:07Three first-round draft picks?
01:08That's what we thought.
01:10We didn't think that they would be able
01:12to get an all-pro back in Jared Verse.
01:14I mean, I think it's a win-win for both teams.
01:17For LA, clearly, they are in Super Bowl mode
01:20with an eye on a Super Bowl championship.
01:23They paid Matt Stafford the money.
01:25They now bring in the cherry on top
01:28from a defensive perspective in Miles Garrett
01:30coming off a record-breaking season.
01:33Cleveland gets the first-round draft pick,
01:35but they also get a younger player in Jared Verse
01:38that really makes up for the lack of productivity,
01:41maybe from the front seven,
01:42if they were just going to get draft picks.
01:44They have a veteran now to come in,
01:47a plug-and-play player,
01:48and Cleveland doesn't really miss a beat.
01:50So this is perfect from the Cleveland Browns' perspective.
01:54For LA now, it's boom or bust.
01:56They have to be now Super Bowl favorites, Kevin.
01:59Oh, you know, they were kind of already sitting there, Joe,
02:02to be honest with you.
02:02Those numbers are...
02:03I don't know if they have...
02:05I mean, yeah, there's a gap, Joe.
02:07Right.
02:07There's a gap now.
02:08$4 gap between the Rams and the next closest team.
02:11I'm seeing right now 6-1 Rams,
02:1310-1 Seattle Seahawks.
02:16Just a sizable gap here that is absolutely worthy
02:22and makes a lot of sense.
02:25If you're the Rams, right,
02:30this can...
02:31Guys, wow.
02:34All right.
02:34I got about 700 things to say,
02:36and the first one is the Ty Simpson pick
02:38is the worst pick in the history of the NFL draft.
02:40All right?
02:42One of the worst picks you left.
02:43This team didn't just push in all in for this year.
02:46They might sell the franchise, okay,
02:49at the end of that Stafford extension
02:51that they just gave out.
02:53Ty Simpson,
02:53I might have to play left tackle for Ty Simpson
02:57when the time the check comes due
02:58for how the LA Rams are operating out here.
03:02What is this, a make good
03:03on that awful Ty Simpson pick?
03:05Don't even get me started.
03:08Miles Garrett is a one-of-one player on the edge, Joe.
03:13But Jared vs. a hell of a football player, man.
03:17And is Miles Garrett...
03:21He's obviously an upgrade.
03:24Is he that much of an upgrade
03:27that this is a good move for the LA Rams?
03:30No, it's a veteran...
03:33You get a guy with a motor, right?
03:35You get a guy that's hungry.
03:36Jared vs. a great motor.
03:37No, no, no, but my point is
03:39you have a motivated veteran
03:41coming off a record-breaking year
03:44that wants to win a championship.
03:46And we saw them make this move with Von Miller
03:48how long ago, Kevin?
03:50I mean, think about this for a second.
03:52I'm not...
03:53It's better for Cleveland
03:55because Cleveland doesn't lose all that much.
03:58Okay, you want to say, obviously,
04:00Miles Garrett has had a much better,
04:02more storied and glorified career
04:04than Jared vs. that's absolutely known
04:07and fact.
04:09But Jared vs. has the potential
04:11to develop into that type of player.
04:14And it's not like you're going
04:15from 23 and a half sacks now
04:17and you're missing out
04:19and going a zero.
04:20You have a player that could rack up
04:2112 to 15 sacks this year,
04:24which makes up the loss
04:25not that significant on Cleveland's side.
04:28And they get draft capital in 2027.
04:30This is a win for Cleveland right now.
04:33With Monkett and now that offense,
04:35they can operate and potentially,
04:38obviously, maybe take the next step
04:39to become a wildcard team
04:41in two or three seasons.
04:42But it's definitely, in my opinion,
04:45a win for Cleveland.
04:47For L.A., they have to now, Kevin,
04:50at least make it back
04:51to the NFC Championship game.
04:53Otherwise, the $55 million
04:55that they threw at Stafford
04:57and what they just gave up with,
04:58Jared Versin and getting Miles Garrett,
05:01it would be a losing part of the season
05:03unless they win a championship this year.
