00:15hello there folks and a very warm welcome as usual back to what's for tea and this week's
00:20meals of the week and i do hope that i find you very well indeed and you've had a good
00:25week as
00:26well so yeah welcome back and i'll just show you what i've made from monday all the way through
00:31till today which is sunday and if i've done a video on anything that you see here i will always
00:36leave it linked down below in the description box and that way you can go and watch it for
00:41yourself so let me go and show you what we had this week starting on monday and as you can
00:46see on
00:47monday we had a steak sandwich or something a wee bit different for us but i seen this in somebody
00:53else's channel and i thought this is such a good idea and very quick and easy as well and like
00:58i
00:58said something just that wee bit different so i get these very very thin steaks from sainsbury's
01:04and they literally take minutes to make and they're so tasty so i've got a chia batter roll and i've
01:10just popped some butter on there and some rocket and that's that very very thin frying steak which
01:16was really nice and i've pan fried some mushrooms as well and that's just the top of the roll a
01:22wee
01:22corn in the cob at the back and some crispy potatoes in the middle so those are just new
01:27potatoes which i pop some butter on and then air fried just to make them nice and crispy and like
01:34i said really really tasty really easy to make and one just a wee bit different for us and then
01:40moving
01:40on to tuesday we had chicken enchiladas one we all like but one i haven't made for a wee while
01:47and
01:47i've actually had this kit in the pantry for a good few weeks now and i just haven't got around
01:52to making it this is the extra cool or the extra mild one from old el paso and it was
01:59really really
01:59nice so that's the chicken enchiladas there and just a wee bit of coleslaw on the side just to combat
02:05that very rich enchilada mixture you know it's just nice and creamy and cooling and this is it here just
02:12out
02:13of the oven and these were covered in cheese so quite naughty on the old calories but very very
02:19tasty nonetheless and then moving on to wednesday i made a pork curry so usually i would make beef
02:26or chicken but this is just pork chops or leftover pork chops cut into strips and then using my usual
02:33curry sauce with peas and onions yeah it's just lovely i love a curry but i like a really spicy
02:39curry
02:39so i tend to add extra cayenne pepper to mine so that's just some plain boiled rice and that's that
02:46lovely curry there just on the side i love the smell of a curry as well you know as it's
02:52cooking i just
02:53love a chinese takeaway style curry in particular which this one is yeah just lovely and again very
03:00easy to make this one was using leftover pork chops but you can use beef chicken pork or even a
03:06mock meat
03:06as well and then moving on to thursday we had slow cooker square sausage stew and i do have a
03:13video
03:14recipe for this one and this might be the easiest recipe of the week this is actually a friend of
03:19ours recipe which i only discovered maybe in the last year in a bit and it's delicious yeah highly
03:26recommend this one and i will leave the video recipe down below so we've got some creamy mashed potato
03:32on the side just some steamed broccoli as well and that's that lovely square sausage stew and an onion
03:38gravy so i will pop the video recipe for this down below and you can go and watch it and
03:43make it for
03:43yourself if you fancy and then moving on to friday we had fish and chips one we used to have
03:50all the
03:51time or at least once a week but i feel as though we haven't had this very much either recently
03:56so yeah
03:57fish and chips so these are some skinny fries from marks and spencer we've got some garden peas on the
04:03side and that's a battered fish fillet with a wee bit of lemon on the top and then just a
04:08sprinkling
04:09of parsley as well which i think brings everything to life it doesn't add much in the way of flavour
04:15but i
04:15just think it looks ever so pretty and then moving on to saturday we had chicken and mushroom pastries so
04:23this is just puff pastry and inside you've got some lovely chicken and mushrooms and a very creamy
04:29sauce yet again just very easy to put together so that's chicken pastry like i said with the creamy
04:36mushrooms and chicken inside these ones were from sainsbury's there's two in a pack and that's just
04:42some steamed cauliflower on the side with a wee bit of grated cheese instead of our usual cheese sauce
04:48and then some buttered new potatoes again just with a wee bit of parsley mixed through the butter
04:54just to bring them to life a wee bit and stop everything looking so beige and then moving on to
05:00today we had a scottish classic so we had stovies today and one i highly recommend as well if you
05:07like
05:07your kind of meat and potato based recipes and you haven't tried stovies highly recommend you give this
05:13one a go it's a scottish classic again very easy to put together this one can be done in
05:18the slow cooker on the stove top made with minced beef or stewing steak or corned beef you know
05:24there's lots and lots of different ways to make this and we've got some oat cakes on the side that
05:30was everything that we had this week so thank you so much for watching if you're still here and a
