00:00Hello. If you haven't seen a shower today, you may get caught out in one this evening
00:04with an area of low pressure clearing its way eastward. So this is the area of low pressure
00:09that's been dominating through Sunday. It's going to be clearing its way eastward. So
00:13we still have a squeeze in the isobars again across the south. So some brisk winds across
00:18the English Channel. A ridge of high pressure extends later on Monday to help settle things
00:23down a bit. But areas of low pressure still across the northwest bring some outbreaks
00:28of rain through into Tuesday. But back to the rest of this evening then. Everywhere seeing
00:34the risk of a shower, some heavy possibly trench or downpours with thunderstorms mixed in.
00:40We've got the brisk winds across Devon Cornwall and the English Channel. But most of the showers
00:44will start fading as we go through the early hours with some clear spells in between. Lows
00:50of around 13 to 15 degrees. So the area of low pressure clears its way out towards the North
00:56Sea. So a few showers to start in the east but mostly dry especially as we head into the late
01:02morning. From the west some showers will start bubbling up and they'll track their way eastwards
01:07as we go through the afternoon. So eastern areas more likely to see a shower as the day develops.
01:12But from the west that's where we have the ridge so most of the showers will start fading away.
01:18They won't be as heavy or as lively but the odd rumble of thunder can't be ruled out across eastern
01:22areas. Turning cloudier across Northern Ireland with some patchy outbreaks of rain. Temperatures
01:27still close to average for the time of year around 19 to 22 degrees. So to end bank holiday Monday
01:35the showers across eastern areas will start fading away and then for England and Wales largely clear
01:40skies as we head into the start of Tuesday. Across Scotland though that's where we'll start to see some
01:46showery outbreaks of rain. Likewise for Northern Ireland as well. Temperatures here around 14 degrees
01:52feeling a little bit fresher to start the morning on Tuesday across England and Wales 11 or 12 degrees.
01:59So plenty of sunshine to start the morning across England and Wales. Still the odd shower especially
02:04in the west but it's Scotland that will start to see more outbreaks of rain as we head into Tuesday
02:10afternoon. This band of rain will sink its way south and eastwards and it will start stalling
02:14as it moves across into central parts of Scotland. So some rainfall totals building up especially
02:19over western hills. Elsewhere a few showers around but also a mixture of sunny spells and feeling
02:25pleasant in that sunshine. Highs of up to 23 degrees. That is all from me for now but if you're
