00:00Okay, so here is the craziest story developing in the baseball season, which is, I think that Kansas City has
00:08no shot to make the postseason, by the way, but I just do want to say that they are only
00:12six and a half games out, which is crazy of the wild card.
00:15Now, look, they got to chase down and beat out a million teams to get there, so it's not going
00:19to happen, but Tom, they are nine and one in their last 10 and even better than that over their
00:24last 15, and it appears to me that they did nothing more than do exactly what they should have done
00:30two months ago, which is completely blow up their bullpen and use different guys.
00:34That's what they've done. Now, look, Craig Kimbrell saving games? Yes, I did not have that as one of the
00:40main reasons why they have come back and won a bunch of these games.
00:43Kimbrell has been unbelievable, like he was with Atlanta 10 years ago. You know, Caglione is as hot as can
00:49be.
00:52Kansas City is not making any playoffs, but I think their ownership in front office is probably looking at this
00:56like, wait a second here, where was this?
00:59We didn't need to play this well. We just needed to be 500 to make the playoffs. They've been way
01:03better than that recently.
01:05And this is what I really think the Royals are going to end up doing, that they're just going to
01:10cause trouble for other teams.
01:12Like, if they continue to be this hot, yeah, I think you and I agree, they are not making the
01:16postseason,
01:17but they're going to cause trouble for the Guardians and the Twins and the other teams that are chasing down
01:21the AL wildcard,
01:22where you look at the schedule and be like, oh, listen, we get to play the Royals and we get
01:26to play the Angels and the Athletics to close out our season.
01:28Those are wins. We're a team in the AL wildcard mix. We can play those teams. We'll beat up on
01:33them.
01:34And listen, if you have to take on the Royals or even the Angels at this point, that's not a
01:38good look for you.
01:38Like, you have to be ready and get up for those series, as they say.
01:41But the Royals are just playing free. They lost Mikel Garcia. They get Vinny P back.
01:45And all of a sudden, Carter Jensen, Jack Haglione, Bobby Witt, Sal Perez, those guys are hitting the lights out
01:51at this point.
01:52And, you know, bullpen be damned. They changed it up a little bit.
01:55But if you're going to score nine runs a game, you can win any series or any game that you're
01:59going to be in.
02:00Yeah, Nate Pearson now out of the bullpen for Kansas City.
02:03Some interesting names that they have used to get outs, and it seems to be working.
02:07And as you mentioned, Haglione has been as hot as anybody in baseball.
02:11Top four, five batters in the Royals lineup as hot as any team right now going.
