00:01When a rescue in New York heard that more than 40 dachshunds suddenly needed
00:06somewhere to go, there wasn't exactly a playbook for what came next. A lot of
00:11people reach out to us about surrendering dachshunds to us because
00:14they can be a very challenging breed. One of our volunteers saw that there was

00:47medical care. We had to organize transport. We had to organize over 42 foster homes.
00:54Taking in even one senior dog can mean appointments, medications, and trying to
00:59find a very specific foster home. She was suddenly trying to do that for 40.
01:05Most of them have been adopted. Many of them actually were bonded pairs. All of our
01:12adopters. A lot of them will send updates.
01:19Hi, sweetie. Oh, what a happy girl. What a happy girl.
01:28We are down to one dachshund.
01:31This is Titan. He is 14 years old and currently living with one of the rescue
01:36co-founders. We're really trying to find him the right fit and somebody that's
01:40going to be patient with him. After everything he's been through, Titan just
01:45needs the right person and a very cozy home to land on.
01:51We're really trying to find him the right person, and he's been running out on the
01:52track. He's been running out of conditions for the DPF.
01:52I bought a lot of our new
