00:05And that was that Brad Stevens over the weekend was talking about Jalen Brown because he's on his, oh, I'm
00:12so, we wish we didn't have to do it.
00:14You know, like Opus Dei whipping himself in the back door right now.
00:18But he was asked about whether or not, I don't even know what he was asked, but I think he
00:22just offered it up and said that, you know,
00:24most likely the Celtics are going to retire Jalen Brown's number seven someday.
00:30And there were a lot of people who were pissed off about that.

00:36I mean, I, I, I think it's, I would, I'm hesitant to say that he should be hung, hung up

00:44But I'd be surprised what people were, I think would, would love.

02:33I'll tell you the one that still makes me scratch my head a little bit is the Ray Allen.
02:37The fact that they haven't retired his number.
02:39You know, Ray Allen is a good question because that's truly an example.
02:43Unlike, I think, Jalen Brown, because I think Jalen Brown is going to get viewed unfairly
02:46on, because you even said yesterday, Jackson, you said he left and he didn't.
02:50But there's going to be a perception because how things were kind of weird at the end and
02:54people are going to kind of forget how it all went down.
02:56Ray Allen literally left for less money to go to a rival.
03:01And I know that that pissed off a lot of people, but then you kind of learn the backstory about
03:07like, especially when he was taken into Danny Ainge's office and Danny Ainge said, hey, we
03:12just traded you to, was it Washington for Rudy Gay or I forget which player it was.
03:17It was, it was somebody like that.
03:19No, it was, it was to Memphis.
03:21Memphis.
03:21That's right.
03:22It was to Memphis.
03:23And they, and he, they, Danny Ainge told, told us the story.
03:26He literally sat down Ray Allen and said, you have been traded.
03:30And so Ray Allen leaves expecting that he's about to go over to Memphis.
03:35And then the, something fell through and they had to call Ray Allen back and go, ah, man,
03:40just kidding.
03:40You're cool.
03:41So I almost don't blame Ray Allen saying, you know what?

03:47If you're going to jerk me around, I'm going to go somewhere else.
03:50But I, I, I think that he was prolific enough.
03:53I think that he obviously is a, was a major part of those championship teams, but that's
03:58one where you can say the butt hurt and the way that it ended probably is the thing that
04:03affected him not being up there, especially if both Pierce and Garnett are there.

04:07And I don't feel like Allen should be retired.
04:09So maybe I get, maybe we need to wait to see how Jalen behaves over the next couple of
04:13years.

04:14It might be change, you know, I mean, because the one thing you can say is that LeBron has
04:19another ring because of Ray Allen.
04:22Like Ray Allen is like, well, that shot that he made in, in game six of the finals against
04:27San Antonio, Ray Allen is like, I mean, broke your heart as a Celtics fan, giving LeBron
04:34and the Miami heat another championship.
04:37So I can see how that's a situation where you go.
04:40I don't like how it ended.
04:41Not Jalen Brown, Jalen Brown.
04:43That was, he wanted to stay.
04:45He said something stupid, which, which I, that this was his favorite season.
04:50He probably should have kept that to himself.
04:52That was a dick move, but I, I don't understand the people who are, don't, I would keep him
04:57out.
