00:09Let's say you have a PDF document and you want to convert it into Microsoft Word document.
00:14In order to do that, you can go to file over here and then over here you have an option
00:19as export to.
00:21So over here in export to you can see right here there's Microsoft Word.
00:24So Acrobat makes it easy to convert PDF files into Microsoft Word documents.
00:29So you can see here that there's Word document and Word 97-2003.
00:35So this is the old doc format while this is the new Word format right here.
00:40So if you are sending it to older computers, you might want to select this with Microsoft Office 2003 or
00:46lesser installed on it.
00:48If you want to export it into new one, simply select this one which is the new docx format.
00:52So over here as you go, you can see that it gives me an option to change the file name
00:58and it gives me an option to view results as well.
01:02So the Word file will open up once I click on the same.
01:04But before that I want to go on to settings right here and see.
01:08So here it asks me whether I want to retain the page layout that it maintains the look of the
01:14page and it doesn't change anything.
01:16But if I want to edit the text and then add and delete text, I may want to choose retain
01:21flowing text itself.
01:23So it actually saves it as a text friendly format right here.
01:29You can also include comments. You can also include images right here.
01:33So this is more for like text heavy file and this is more for like image heavy file.
01:37So you can also recognize the text if needed. You can set the language and right now it's chosen on
01:43English.
01:44So let me click as that and I'm going to press OK and save it out.
01:48So once I do that, it is initializing the export engine as you can see and it'll export it as
01:54a Microsoft Word document.
01:57And now you can see here that it has converted everything into a Word document.
02:01And you can see here that this is quite editable. It has not maintained the look.
02:06So I'm going to increase the size of this. I'm going to go to the view section right here.
02:11And let me increase the view. Let me just zoom this in to around 200%.
02:16And there you go. You can see that the text is quite editable over here, but it is not maintaining
02:24the look right here.
02:25So because this is editing focus right here. So this is a great document to start editing.
02:32But you can see that it does not maintain the right look.
02:35So let me choose the other option and then export it as image centric.
02:41So I'm not going to save this out. So I'm going to go over here.
02:44I'm going to go to file, export to Microsoft Word, Word document.
02:49And over here in the settings panel, now I'm going to select retain page layout.
02:54And I'm going to press OK and I'm going to save that out.
02:57So I'm not going to replace it. I'm just going to rename this as 2 and I'm going to save
03:03that out over there.
03:04So it's processing.
03:07And you can see here that this is much more closer to the PDF document.
03:15But still, you can see that there is a bit of formatting error.
03:19That is because PDF cannot be converted exactly into a Word document.
03:24But this is the best it can do.
03:26And you can see that everything is well arranged as boxes and the layout is managed much better than what
03:35you can see back in the previous conversion.
03:39So that is how you can export a doc from a PDF by using Adobe Acrobat DC.
