High drama unfolded outside the Parliament Street Police Station in Delhi as a multi-hour sit-in protest demanding an FIR in a pellet gun injury case concluded following the registration of an official complaint. A young protest victim, who sustained multiple pellet injuries during a recent march, sought police action after facing repeated delays in filing a case. The opposition leadership joined the sit-in outside the police station, alleging procedural delays and interference in registering the first information report. Following the protest and procedural clearance, Delhi Police registered the FIR under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including charges related to voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons and acts endangering life or personal safety. After the police formally issued a copy of the registered complaint, supporters gathered outside the premises, and the protest ended as vehicles departed from the location.
