00:00Communications Workers Union head Joanne Ogier isn't mincing words, as she fights for a 10% wage increase for TSTT
00:07workers.
00:08According to Ogier, two meetings were held between the union and the company, where numbers were crunched and the offer
00:14was agreed to by Vice President of Corporate Services, Roshan Babois, and the former acting Chief Executive Officer, Keno Cox.
00:22Those meetings, Ogier says, took place on July 9th and 25th. TSTT, she claims, asked for a three-month grace
00:31period.
00:32He said, again, I've given already 10%. Just give us the time. Just give us the time. And you see
00:41all them grievances, I will settle it for the workers. Roshan Babois. And again, I'm challenging you to say you
00:49didn't say it.
00:49It was for two collective bargaining periods, spanning a six-year time frame, expected to cost TSTT around $56 million,
00:57with a $9.6 million bank pay.
01:01Minister Padarath, you see this one showing you here? I get this from the company.
01:07And if Public Utilities Minister Barry Padarath is on a way?
01:11So somebody not advising you, and that is the question you have to ask. I didn't negotiate with Casper.
01:17The CWU says it previously wrote to Padarath, complaining about several issues surrounding Babois' performance at TSTT. But here's the
01:26alleged spin.
01:28Roshan Babois told me, Johan Ogier, me. He said, I support the union. But the company says, I can't say
01:42the correct word, so we have to use this word.
01:45But the company says, fucks the union. They only have 300 members.
01:50On another note, Ogier is questioning the hiring of TSTT's corporate secretary, saying that a freedom of information request has
01:59been filed by the union concerning this.
02:01Ogier has also red-flagged an alleged hire by that person.
02:06A government minister called and said, hey, hire my niece. One phone call, and the niece reaching TSTT.
02:18The CWU says it doesn't plan to have TSTT customers bear the brunt of the pushback over wages.
02:24We have to make sure that you get good service. So fear not. What they want to say is we're
02:31irresponsible. We're going to shut down.
02:33I was mandated by my members. You know what we told the members? It's a many ways to skin out
02:39here.
02:40And to Minister Padarath.
02:42Toughen up. Toughen up. You have to learn to take wood from the CWU.
02:48That way you have to learn to take. Take wood from the CWU.
02:51And stop putting your foot in your mouth, Minister Padarath. Stop saying this. You're ready for war.
03:00The CWU states that it will not allow TSTT to boast of a $214 million profit in March of 2026,
03:08while workers get nothing.
