00:00Millions of dollars in outstanding payments owed to TNTech workers have now been settled,
00:06including cost of living allowance arrares dating back to 2015.
00:10Public Utilities Minister Barry Padareff says close to $350 million has already been paid.
00:17That too I think is on the right trajectory.
00:19We're able to make some more settlements, almost over $30 million.
00:23We have been in constant discussion with OWTU, who is a trade union representative for TNTech workers.
00:33So over the last couple of months we have paid out, I would say, close to $350 million in outstanding
00:40payments that were owed to TNTech workers.
00:44Padareff says the payments follow months of discussion with the oil field workers' trade union, which represents TNTech employees.
00:51He adds that negotiations are ongoing to address remaining issues and the current wage period.
00:57A lot of changes that are happening there, negotiations for the current period and the outstanding ones, will progress in
01:06the very near future.
01:08But there is a good relationship with the OWT, who is a majority trade union representative for TNTech.
01:14We have made, as I said, significant improvements with respect to outstanding polar and settlement on wages and so on.
01:22The discussions are expected to continue in the coming weeks as outstanding matters are finalized.
