Chief Personnel Officer retired commander Darryl Dindial and PSA's President Felisha Thomas were expected to meet late this afternoon to formally sign the agreement in which a deal was struck last week between both parties for a ten percent wage increase for public sector workers.

00:17The deal is expected to cost the state some $3.8 million,
00:21with some $420 million in recurrent expenditure going forward.
00:26However, up to news time, the parties were still in a meeting.
00:30The agreement over a five-year period is for 1% between the years 2014 till 2018 and 5% in 2019.
00:39The CPO says once the agreement is ratified by Cabinet, then he will put things in train to start the process.
