00:00It's the end of the assembly line for one of the best Factory games out there. The devs
00:04at Woob Software are about to call time on Factorio. The game's upcoming patch will
00:09be its final major update. We feel we've reached a good place to conclude the active
00:13gameplay development, says Woob. We envision 2.1 as our last major update of Factorio and
00:18we will shift the focus onto long term support, so things like bug fixes, platform support
00:22slash compatibility and modding features. And it's been a long old road. Its devs have
00:27been working on it since 2012 and it got its early access release a decade ago in 2016.
00:33And it was already enormous back then. Updates since in its Factorio space-age expansion have
00:38only made it more impossibly vast. So it's probably reasonable to call it quits with one last big
00:44update. It's not set to bring anything huge like a new planet, but that's fine. Factorio
00:50is pretty big already. Check out the full story on PCGamer.com and follow us here for more gaming
