It's been a long wait, but Wolfenstein 3 is reportedly on its way to complete the modern trilogy. Explore the confirmations, developer statements, and the ultimate question: will we finally face Mecha-Hitler?
Transcript
00:00Multiple reports emerged suggesting Wolfenstein 3 is finally in development at Bethesda Studio
00:05Machine Games. Windows Central shared news suggesting that Wolfenstein 3 is on the cards
00:09at Machine Games to coincide with the planned Wolfenstein TV show. Word of Wolfenstein 3's
00:14development was immediately corroborated by Kotaku, and in a situation where multiple outlets
00:18are reporting smoke, there's a pretty strong chance that the fire is indeed real. Neither
00:23outlet provided any additional details about what ship Wolfenstein 3 might take. Machine Games itself
00:28said in an interview last year that it had always planned for the new Wolfenstein series to be a
00:32trilogy, and that plan seems to be coming to fruition at long last. I think this is important to say
00:37because we have always seen this as a trilogy, studio headshot Gustafsson said it at the time,
00:41so that journey for BJ, even during those first weeks at id when we mapped out New Order, we still
00:46have to plan for at least that character, what will happen in the second one, and what will happen in
00:50the third one. I think that's important to say because at least I hope that we're not done with
00:54Wolfenstein yet. We have a story to tell. The main question is, will we finally get the climactic
00:59mecha-hitler battle we've needed for decades?
