00:38well i mean i think it's a good opportunity for a lot of these guys the young guys that haven't
00:41played in this league and you know there's a lot of great coaching opportunities and situations come
00:47up and you know little penalties and you know things that you know you really can't simulate in
00:52practice and you know it'd be good to be able to review it with them and try to learn from
00:57it and
00:57have a big week this week here with philadelphia coming in curtis was asking earlier you know
01:01talking about why don't you let curtis ask i don't love that he's sitting right here i'm a little
01:08different looking the wiki um what what do you get out of these still like if they were to say

01:15year we're just doing joint practices we're going to get rid of preseason games would it would it
01:20negatively impact how you're able to evaluate the team well guys have to be able to tackle young
01:24defenders have to be able to tackle um you know there still is the and the anxiety is probably
01:32not the correct word but there is still some you know jitters that you have to you know i mean
01:37that
01:37the young players have to go through um the fatigue you know to be able to operate and understand like
01:43this is you're going to be tired you're spending a lot of emotion um you know some some cut blocks
01:50that you know offensively we don't do uh in practice and i think that there is there's things
01:56that you can get from it just because as the pressure builds or the speed of the game builds
02:03you want to be able to see these guys play with some fundamentals and the things that we're teaching
02:07and then if those aren't there then you have to go back and reinforce them important for the
02:11quarterbacks to get reps i think so yeah just being in it you know knowing that they're
02:15they're they're live and you know how they work in the pocket and how they're able to move and
02:20function and you know still keep their eyes downfield so when it comes to those guys you got
02:25two chains and then you probably have one chain with the with the with the other guy i don't know

03:26happen early when it comes to christian uh gonzalez this week you had said that it was physical
03:31he was physically unavailable for joint practice so is it something that was planned going into
03:38joint practice or does it have anything to do with the with the negotiations or no i mean literally
03:44just uh working through something just like a couple other guys that that didn't participate or
03:49you know didn't participate in the game so you know we'll try to get those guys back as quickly as
03:55possible and and go from there i know you didn't really want to talk about a post game but we're
04:00gonna
04:00we're gonna grill you on it uh that's what we do here um is um is your expectation that he's
04:06playing week one who's that christian yeah my expectation is everybody that's healthy and ready
04:12to play in our game in our you know play for us is gonna play like that's i've never even
04:17considered
04:18anything other than that okay when it comes to will campbell at the end of the year last year a
04:24lot of
04:24people were talking about how is he going to mentally be able to rebound from the super bowl loss we
04:29physically have been able to see what he's done during the off season but mentally how do you feel
04:32like he he's responded to coming into camp and ready for this year i mean he's worked hard again
04:37he's uh i don't i don't think that that will was um you know well enough last year at the
04:44end of the
04:45end of the season uh so again that's um you have to go through some of those things sometimes and
04:51when
04:51you guys hear me say especially in this league you don't want to just get a drop back passing game
04:55it's not where you want to live you can't it's just it's hard to continually have to do that and
05:01that's why you have to play such a complimentary game you have to be able to run a football you
05:05have
05:05to be able to work you know a lot of different things in there so it just doesn't become a
05:09drop
05:09back passing game whether that's in the super bowl or that's moving forward here in week one or
05:14week two or whatever so you can kind of see how those things happen but you know i think he's
05:19like
05:20everybody else trying to improve and work hard and you know be ready to go here when the season starts
05:25you said philly this week uh aj brown was the worst kept secret felt like we were talking about him
05:30for over a year coming here he arrives he leaves philadelphia what have you seen from aj brown and
05:36what do you expect to see from aj brown this week in those joint practices against his old team
05:40well i mean i think the same thing that we thought we would see is you know a big physical
05:44receiver that
05:45has good route craft that uses his size and this has a great catch radius his strong hands and
05:52you know learning the system and i think been a good leader for some of the younger players and
05:58you know keep progressing and you know i probably work on his conditioning and see how many you know
06:04plays that he can start stringing together i think that's something that's really important at the
06:08joint practices uh you know and i don't you know i think it's a probably a nice coincidence that
06:13philadelphia is coming in and i wouldn't expect anything different than than how we try to practice
06:18against indianapolis we have a big he said that you think you can still play is that true no okay
06:25all right i mean it's true that he said it it's not true that i think i can still play
06:30because wiggy does um so football
06:35that's convenient truth but i i mean i just no no i mean maybe a couple snaps
06:44does the shoulder hurt this morning after throwing that the shoulder hurt the shoulder
06:48hurt before it did it was like a 25 yarder that it constantly hurt i was like we gotta put

06:54weight in this thing yeah you need to settle something because it's been a big debate greg and
06:58i take on courtney and shyme on the the ai chat gpt world now coach sirianni's coming in he's been
07:05using chat gpt to help with some motivational speeches do you ever use any ai to help craft a

07:28room has a lot of guys that are that are uh looking for seats uh kyle williams got a vote
07:34of confidence from you uh this week what where are you on the you know obviously everybody wants to
07:39know what the to happen with booty like where are you on kind of that room i'm same place i

07:45good depth good competition um hopefully you know i think through training camp continue to try to find
07:52you know have these guys earn roles and find roles for them and you know see where everything fits
07:59that's that's where i'm at it's great depth it's good competition and it's a position that's the
08:04strength of our football team you guys approach this this this season you have basically i think
08:11improved the roster up and down from where you were in the super bowl yet analyst after analyst
08:17prognosticator after prognosticator has said that you're out of the top 10 you're not
08:21one of the contenders in the afc you are the flaws have been the number one story nationally
08:28have you used any of this negative publicity or negative coverage nationally as a way to
08:33motivate your team no not not yet haven't tried that just try to get them to improve you know work
08:41on some some things each day and how we can get better in all three phases and you know haven't
08:47really worried about trying to prove anybody wrong here in the middle of august you
08:51you talked about uh working with drake to get him to be more vocal is that from a leadership
08:57perspective is that on the field is that both uh i think that just the quarterback has to have a
09:03certain command and again they're all going to be different they all have different personalities
09:07and i think drake has continued to improve on that and understand that you know when he when he talks
09:12he has to be able to get their attention when things you know when he needs to whether that's in
09:17the
09:17huddle or uh after a play or in the meeting room and and i think he continues to do that
09:22we loved that
09:23you said he had told you that he hasn't earned anything yet um is that just his mindset is that
09:28who drake may is probably you know i think that that's um you know something that he was probably
09:35conscious of just being a young quarterback in this league and you know maybe coming off a season where
09:42you know there wasn't a lot of success um and he wanted to make sure that he he proved himself
09:49and
09:50you know we we all saw that he did a guy that drake will always be compared to like every
09:56quarterback
09:56that comes through here there's a big statue of him tom brady made news in the offseason i we haven't

12:38my money the greatest championship season out of nowhere unbelievable any memories come to mind
12:46will there be any part of that season that you'll try to sort of incorporate your coaching i still try

12:58nine games after thanksgiving and uh talk about playing really well down the stretch and really
13:04well late in the season uh played a lot of really good defense you know didn't do things that hurt
