00:12Labour councillor Tom Mohan says the two independents are not being straight with voters,
00:17but Saunders and Hill call his claims ludicrous.
00:22The Independent Counsellors Association, a nine-member group with Saunders and Hill,
00:26votes on individual judgment, no party whip, and serves as council's main opposition.
00:33Both will stay independent until term ends next spring,
00:37and Saunders may run as a reform candidate in 2027.
00:41Voters will choose his affiliation in May council election.
