00:02Talkback host Alan Jones is accused of kissing and touching six men without their consent.
00:08The first of the six, complainant Jay has finished giving evidence,
00:11accusing Mr Jones of assaulting him multiple times when he was 17 or 18.
00:16Today, his brother was under oath, telling the court he first heard about the allegations
00:21after Mr Jones' arrest in 2024.
00:24He says Jay asked to meet him days later at this McDonald's restaurant.
00:29He said to me, this is the hardest thing I've ever had to tell you.
00:32You've probably seen the news about the defendant.
00:35I'm one of the people who've come forward.
00:38Jay's brother says he asked Jay how bad it was.
00:41He said he didn't try to f*** me or anything like that.
00:44He would try, he would grab me on the c***, he'd kiss me.
00:48Prosecutors asked Jay's brother if he ever saw Mr Jones act inappropriately toward Jay.
00:54He says he didn't.
00:55The trial has also heard from Jay's ex-girlfriend.
00:58The only person Jay says he did confide in at the time.
01:02She says Jay came to her house straight from a trip to Mr Jones' Fitzroy Falls property in 2004.
01:09He walked through the door and I could see immediately something was up.
01:13I said, maybe you should report it.
01:15And he said no, a very firm no.
01:18Lawyers for Alan Jones say the broadcaster was very generous with Jay's family, helping Jay's brother to buy an engagement
01:25ring and sending him a dinner set as a wedding present.
01:30Court was cut short thanks to a fire alarm.
01:33Alan Jones was evacuated alongside everyone else.
