00:01This is the fifth and final complaint to give evidence in Alan Jones' historic indecent assault trial.
00:07And there's one count of indecent assault which relates to that allegation of when he was a 17-year-old
00:12boy.
00:13But that's right, he did reach out to Alan Jones when he was a 13-year-old boy.
00:18We heard that he wrote him a letter asking for assistance because his family was facing some very serious financial
00:24and personal struggles.
00:25The court heard that Alan Jones replied to that email asking him to answer a series of follow-up questions
00:31and that if he could do so that he would offer his support to his family.
00:36Now we heard over several years after that that Alan Jones and this young boy remained in constant contact over
00:42email and text message exchange.
00:44We heard that the young boy was constantly giving Alan Jones updates on his mother, his family situation and the
00:50financial position that they were in.
00:52We heard over that period of time Alan Jones helped the family renegotiate a mortgage and wipe away $600,000
01:00in debt.
01:01But also he provided them more than $85,000 to help with their house and also financial assistance with a
01:08family lawyer as well.
01:10We heard that some of those emails throughout those years that Alan Jones would often refer to this young boy
01:17as a wonderful young man.
01:18He would say that he would want to meet and catch up with this young man over several occasions.
01:24He often invited him to visit his Fitzroy Falls property as well.
01:28But we heard over time that eventually that Alan Jones became a bit more harsh in his emails with the
01:34young boy when it came to ongoing financial assistance,
01:37saying that this couldn't be an endless dripping tap in terms of him providing ongoing financial support to his family
01:44and reminding him to always be grateful to those who provided him assistance, especially the builders who he helped with
01:50his house as well.
01:52We heard that over several occasions as well that the pair met up.
01:56They first met up at the young boy's house where the mother was there and another person was there
02:00and that the young boy also went to Mr Jones' Circular Quay apartment in Sydney where they had breakfast there
02:08together.
02:09We also heard there was an occasion where they met up at a pub and that after that interaction there,
02:15where the two were alone, that Mr Jones sent him an email saying that he looked bright and fresh
02:19and that he was the most brilliant 13 to 14-year-old boy that he had ever met.
02:24And, Ethan, what did the complainant say about the alleged indecent assault at Mr Jones' private farm?
02:31Yeah, so it's alleged that four years after this 13-year-old had sent that letter to Alan Jones
02:37that he eventually took up one of those invitations from Mr Jones to go with him to his Fitzroy Falls
02:42property
02:43on the Southern Highlands where the pair stayed together for two nights.
02:47He said after the first night, there was an older male couple that came to stay with Alan Jones.
02:53They had dinner. The four of them had dinner together.
02:55They watched a movie. And when that older couple left the house, the boy says that he was just him
03:02and Alan Jones left in the house. He said he went to say goodnight to Mr Jones.
03:06He said on that occasion, that's when Mr Jones went in, kissed him on the mouth,
03:10stuck his tongue down his throat and put his hand on his buttocks.
03:14He says at the point where he felt Mr Jones' hand on his behind, that's when he took a step
03:19back.
03:20He said he recoiled and he said, Alan, that's enough, and said goodnight.
03:24He says he felt violated in that situation. He says shortly after that, he went into the en suite
03:31of his bedroom. He found a loofah, soaked and washed out his mouth.
03:36And he said he just went to bed straight after that as well.
03:39And he said he just didn't want to be there anymore.
03:41He also said after the kiss that Alan Jones had a grin on his face,
03:44which made him feel very uncomfortable.
03:47He said the next morning he ran into Alan Jones briefly again.
03:50He said that he had the same type of smirk on his face as he did after he allegedly kissed
03:55him.
03:55He said he had very minimal contact with him on that day because he tried to avoid him as best
04:00as he could.
04:00And eventually he was driven home by Mr Jones' butler.
04:03He says after all this, he didn't tell his mother when he got home,
04:07but he says his mother noticed that he wasn't going to bed at night
04:10and found him in his room with his lights on when it was really late at night.
04:14He says he didn't explain to his mother why that was taking place,
04:17but eventually he did write her a note.
04:20And in that note, it didn't go into explicit details of his allegations,
04:24but he said someone did something that they shouldn't at the Fitzroy Falls property.
04:28He said it was sexual in nature.
04:30And he said he didn't do anything about it.
04:33And he was worried about causing a scene
04:36because he was worried that that financial support from Alan Jones would stop.
04:40Now, this complainant is still giving evidence in chief.
04:43He's still being questioned by the prosecution.
04:45We believe he'll be cross-examined by Mr Jones' defence team tomorrow.
04:49Joe.
