00:33Koholint Sword, The Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening
00:43There are many side quests across the Zelda series that require Link to collect a large amount of something.
00:50Given how much Link must collect to earn a specific item, and that they're hidden throughout the game world, these
00:55quests can take a lot of dedication.
00:57In Link's Awakening, there are 26 secret seashells scattered across Koholint Island.
01:03That sounds fairly small, but it was a lot for something on the original Game Boy, and many of them
01:08required solving environmental puzzles or having specific items to reach.
01:13Only after you gained most of them, 20 to be exact, would Link gain the Koholint Sword.
01:19Definitely worth it since it deals double damage and lets Link fire sword beams at full health.
01:31Upgraded Unmaker, Doom 64
01:37The Unmaker is a powerful weapon that can only be found on a couple of maps in Doom 64.
01:42Still, it isn't hard to find on the regular Altar of Pain map.
01:47However, it also appears on the secret level, Outpost Omega, as does one of three demon keys that earns the
01:53weapon its spot on the list.
01:55Finding all three significantly enhances the weapon, but they obviously aren't easy to come across.
02:00They each appear on a different secret level you must know how to access, and they're all hidden in different
02:06rooms behind cryptic puzzles.
02:08While long-time fans are aware of them now, there are no in-game hints towards the demon keys' existence.
02:22Golden Gemstone
02:24Chrono Trigger
02:32Getting the Golden Gemstone is difficult, both in that it takes a fair amount of effort, and that it requires
02:37you to do something you probably wouldn't think to do.
02:40First, you must upgrade Frog's weapon, the Masamune, by visiting Cyrus' grave in 1000 AD.
02:46Afterwards, you would need to know to go to the Denodoro Mountains in 600 AD, specifically with Frog selected as
02:54the leading party member.
02:56At the point where an enemy starts throwing rocks at the party, Frog will catch one, and it will turn
03:00out to be the Golden Gemstone.
03:10This accessory allows Frog, Marl, and Robo to use a powerful triple tech move, Master Mooney.
03:26But to even use it, you must also have learned the eighth and final techs for Frog and Marl, and
03:33the second for Robo.
03:34Golden Gun
03:35GoldenEye 007
03:44GoldenEye was a great recreation of the movie, but there were tons of references to the franchise's past as well.
03:50Such as the Golden Gun, which takes all your skills as a video game spy to unlock.
03:56You first have to beat every mission, including the unlockable Aztec, on the highest difficulty, Double O Agent.
04:07This shouldn't be understated.
04:09More tasks to accomplish across each mission, enemies with more health and much better accuracy, and little armor to pad
04:16yourself with.
04:17Doing this unlocks the Egyptian level, where you can find a room with the Golden Gun.
04:22You still have to walk across the floor tiles in a specific order the game doesn't hint at, and if
04:28you fail, four gun drones pop out to shoot you.
04:41Super Suit

04:57Super Suit
04:58The requirements for unlocking the Super Suit might not sound that bad on paper, but actually doing it takes a
05:04level of patience most players might not be willing to commit to.
05:07One of Mario's attacks, the Super Jump, allows you to keep making consecutive jumps on an enemy's head so long
05:13as you press the attack button as soon as he lands.
05:24Well, an NPC in Monstro Town keeps track of your record and will award you the Super Suit if you
05:30reach 100.
05:31Not only is that a high number to reach without messing up a single time, but there's also no on
05:37-screen counter.
05:38The suit comes with several benefits, including major boosts to stats, but it's a level of monotony that borders on
05:45maddening.
05:55Serpentarius
05:57Final Fantasy Tactics
06:11Final Fantasy is a series full of items that require hours of patience and dedication to unlock.
06:18As for the 90s, Final Fantasy Tactics had the Serpentarius Stone locked behind one of the most grueling dungeons of
06:25the era.
06:25As you progress through the story, you learn of the 12 Zodiac Stones, each housing the spirit of a demon.
06:31Well, Serpentarius is the secret 13th, which you can collect after defeating a secret superboss at the end of an
06:38optional 10-layer deep dungeon.
06:53The dungeon itself can be tricky, since battles hide the passages to further floors on random squares,
06:59and the boss you find at the end, who can transform into the demon of the same name, naturally provides
07:04a pretty tough fight.

07:24GUTZY BAT
07:26In past videos, we've included the Sword of Kings, but we're gonna switch things up and go with the GUTZY
07:31BAT.
07:31Both weapons, along with the Star Pendant, have an infamous 1 in 128 chance of dropping from the enemies that
07:38carry it.
07:39That's only 0.78%.
07:41What makes the GUTZY BAT special is that it appears in the final area of the game, the Cave of
07:46the Past.
07:47Plus, the Bionic Kraken, who has that small chance of holding it, rarely appears itself.
07:58It raises NES's offense by 100, and GUT's by 127, and has a high crit rate.
08:05So, it certainly would be nice to have leading up to the finale, but clearly, that isn't likely to happen.
08:17Heaven Sword
08:18Castlevania Symphony of the Night
08:26Like Earthbound, Symphony of the Night has three items with an exceptionally low drop rate, specifically .15%.
08:34However, the Medusa Shield and Talisman at least come from enemies that aren't too hard to deal with, being Medusa
08:40Heads and Bone Muskets, respectively.
08:43The Heaven Sword, on the other hand, is only dropped by the Cloaked Knight.
08:47Only one appears in the Clock Tower before Dracula's castle is flipped.
08:51You theoretically have a better chance of farming in the Reverse Clock Tower where more appear, but in groups, they
08:57can be pretty annoying.
08:58Heaven Sword is one of the best weapons in the game, though, since it can return after being thrown.
09:03But you'll also need to get a second one if you want its special attack, which launches a group of
09:09swords.
09:19Hadouken, Mega Man X
09:32Although it's not exactly an item, this power-up takes so much work to unlock that it warrants inclusion.
09:38Paying tribute to the iconic attack from Street Fighter, Capcom included the Hadouken as an unlockable in Mega Man X.
09:45But on top of defeating the eight main bosses, you have to collect basically everything.
09:51Eight heart tanks, four armor upgrades, and four sub-tanks, all of which are hidden across the game.
09:57Then you have to go into Armored Armadillo's stage and reach the higher ledge above his boss door four separate
10:03times.
10:04On the fifth visit, you'll find the upgrade.
10:07While you have to have full health to use it, the Hadouken can one-shot nearly any enemy in the
10:12game.

10:40King's Sword of Haste, Diablo
10:52The bastard sword is a typical one-handed weapon in Diablo, but with the right exceptionally rare modifiers, it becomes
11:01one of the most desired items in the game.
11:03The game signals what modifiers a weapon has by different prefixes and suffixes.
11:08The King's prefix here gives a massive increase to attack rate and damage, while the of haste suffix naturally makes
11:16its attack speed much faster.
11:18Narrowing down a specific chance that the King's Sword of Haste might appear is tricky.
11:23Many players estimate it only has a 1 in 6,500 chance of showing up, although it has been found
11:29to be more manageable by farming the town vendor, Griswold, at level 29, rather than hoping it drops from an
11:36enemy.
