00:00And so fast to begin with, just pure speed, but his racing up front has been lost a lot.
00:09Welcome to Global Racing. Thanks for tuning in.
00:12If you're enjoying the action, hit that subscribe button and turn on notifications so you don't miss the next heat.
00:18Let's get into it.
00:21We're about to see. Now 30 seconds more. Let's go.
00:25And here we go. 30 seconds till gate drop. SX2, race number three.
00:29What a night it has been for Max Anstey.
00:331-1 on the night through the sprint races, through great race craft to get it done.
00:38Michael Hicks, Brian Sue on the Stark Bogs have gotten the starts all night.
00:42McAdoo, Simonson, Peters have been in the battle as well.
00:46This is going to be a dogfight as we close it down in the SX2 division.
00:50Race number three. The Rebs will rise. The gate will drop. And we are underway.
00:58And surprise, surprise. It's another great start. Is that Anstey or is that Simonson?
01:03That's Devin Simonson that snuffed on the inside. Max Anstey's following him through.
01:10Devin Simonson, he has 12 laps to show us that speed that you have been talking about all weekend.
01:16Oh, watch out. One of the Starks up the inside.
01:18Nice pass by Michael Hicks up the inside. Here comes Max Anstey now up the inside as well.
01:24Will he get by his teammate Simonson? You got the Starks, one, two.
01:28Rick Ware racing Yamahas, running three, four.
01:31How aggressive will Anstey be early with his teammate right there? Anstey ripping through the whoops.
01:36And that pass... Oh!
01:40That pass by Hicks, that pass by Hicks wasn't horsepower either. That was finesse on the inside of a triple.
01:46Well, Sue gets a little bit loose coming into that final turn.
01:49Hey, I like that though. Sue was smart there. 2-2 to the inside. Anstey's been using that line on
01:54him all night long.
01:55He protects. Let's see how he does at a 12-lap affair against the defending champion.
02:00You got Hicks right there in 3rd. Simonson 4th. McAdoo with his best start of the night as well.
02:04And Thompson.
02:06Cole Thompson running at 6th. You got Fowzer, Koch, Connelly, and Peters rounding out the top 10.
02:14We have a main event. And look, Cooper Webb did mention it. This is dark Calgary soil.
02:20That is going to make it incredibly difficult to see.
02:22There is going to be shadows and holes that come out in this final race.
02:26Cameron McAdoo looks like he is gaining some momentum in this one. Rails the outside.
02:32Anstey inside. Doesn't go 3-1. Doesn't have to. Up the inside on Sue. Passes into the lead early.
02:38This is the earliest he's been in the lead. He's got the clear track.
02:41This might be good night, Irene, for the rest of the pack. McAdoo is up the inside of Simonson.
02:46I want to see McAdoo and Anstey. I want to see the rest of this race with those two going
02:52at it.
02:52He is going to have to get through those stock box first if he is going to get there, though.
02:57Hey, Bryan Sue is, like, not done with the leader just yet. He is fighting back.
03:01Michael Hicks also in position right now for a podium and a second overall finish. Let's go to Kristen B.
03:07I was standing by in the mechanic's area, and I was watching Max Anstey's pit board.
03:12His mechanic said, focus, no mistakes. And if you're Max, that has to be what you are telling yourself,
03:18especially with how dark this track is.
03:21Coda Webber, the mechanic for Max Anstey, working out their communication pre-race.
03:26Max is very particular about the things he likes to see on his pit board. He likes to be inspired.
03:30He's got words that help him understand the moment, and he's getting him right now as Cameron McAdoo makes the
03:35pass
03:35on Michael Hicks. This is the best we've seen of McAdoo. The clearest track he's had. He's up front.
03:40Simonson up the inside, aggressive as well, gets himself into fourth.
03:43And this is huge for the podium. Hicks was looking at the podium. We're looking at it right now.
03:50Max Anstey. Michael Hicks is still on the podium, hanging onto that spot.
03:53Bryan Sue is in third. Cameron McAdoo is fourth. It is all to play for in those second, third positions.
04:01We are not halfway done yet. Those first two sprint races went by fast.
04:05This one's going to be a little bit longer. If you're Anstey, you are pulling out right now.
04:09If you're McAdoo, you're running from Simonson. You're running at Sue. This is the closest you've been to the front.
04:16And it is by far the best he's looked yet tonight.
04:18And that is what we expected at the start of this night. Those whoofs, though, are breaking down.
04:25That looked like a really tough pass through the whoofs there for both McAdoo and Simonson.
04:29McAdoo third. Simonson up to fourth. Kristen.
04:31Guys, I'm keeping an eye on Devin Simonson, because as it stands right now in the championship for the overall,
04:37we've got Max Anstey, Michael Hicks, and then Devin Simonson and Bryan Sue.
04:41So Devin Simonson needs to maintain this position in order to finish on the podium here tonight for the overall.
04:46Mathematically, that would be great for him in the overall look of the championship.
04:49But I can tell you right now, that guy ain't going to settle. He's going to fight and claw his
04:54way up to McAdoo.
04:54Unless McAdoo can get by into second and get a little bit of space. Otherwise, we may have a three
05:00-rider battle here soon.
05:01And he is all over Sue using different lines around this racetrack.
05:06I think this next pass through the whoofs is going to be critical. He might not even need it.
05:11He gets it done before they even enter that whoof section.
05:14Clean run through the rhythm by Cameron McAdoo, and he blitzes his way to a nice little gap in second.
05:19Here comes Simonson up the inside. He's going to get to third if he can hold it. Sue goes out
05:25to in.
05:26Track races him down the straightaway. Ooh, Simonson cuts back to the outside. He's going to have to try again.
05:31And we have just hit the halfway mark of this race. So much more left to go.
05:37I think, well, the mat's pretty easy for Max Anstey out front, but these are the podium spots. It is
05:43on right now.
05:45Simonson sweeps wide, cuts back underneath.
05:49I like the patience right now. He's not forcing it. He's looking around a little bit.
05:54Swerving left, swerving right, trying to find the opening. Had him once. Would love to get him again.
05:59But here comes Michael Higgs. Simonson switches lines. This is where Sue's had his issues.
06:05Single over single. Two, two, one. And watch out for Higgs up the inside. Nice move.
06:12Simonson blitzes the whoofs on the far left. And they both get by Sue. What happened there?
06:19Something has happened to Brian Sue right now. Oh, that is a disastrous end to his night. It has been
06:26a great night for him so far.
06:28How's Higgs? He got dropped early in this moto. And he has made his way up now into third position.
06:35Has to be frustrating for Simonson too. Was making moves on Sue. Got caught in the battle. Lost a spot.
06:41Higgs gets them both.
06:42So now he has to get back to work to get to third in this race.
06:46Got an eight second lead for Max Anstey over Cameron McAdoo. Three seconds back to Higgs.
06:53And that's the battle on track for the podium. McAdoo. What a ride for him to get up there. Oh,
06:59Simonson with issues.
07:01Oh, no.
07:02He might have something stuck in the back wheel. No, Devin Simonson.
07:08Oh, he's frustrated.
07:10Oh, he's got a tough walk. He's picked up a whole tough walk.
07:13Oh, no. And that's devastating not only for the night but for the championship. This is the rider who wants
07:18to win this title.
07:19He wants to be battling with his teammate. And this is the moto. You don't want something like that to
07:24happen. And it does.
07:27Max Anstey is just oblivious to the absolute chaos that has been going on behind him this entire moto.
07:33He got into the lead early, the earliest that he has all night. And he has just marched away with
07:39this thing.
07:40Great ride for Anstey. Great ride for McAdoo too. It's good to see him get up front, get a little
07:45air, show what he can do.
07:48It's wild how this championship will play out. We're watching Cameron McAdoo ride a pro circuit Kawasaki.
07:54Big shout out to Mitch Payton for allowing this to happen. Look, McAdoo is moving on next year.
07:59But the relationship was so strong, he wanted to see Cameron get a good start in this championship.
08:04So instead of providing him with a pipe and some suspension, he sends up a race bike.
08:09And look how well he is riding, getting himself the points he needs to stay in contention.
08:13Big shout out to Mitch Payton and Kawasaki.
08:16Yeah, that just shows the level of respect that Mitch has for Cameron McAdoo.
08:21And also Uribe Konsky. Uribe said it as well. Max Anstey.
08:25Michael Hicks is going to be in second if it stays the way that it does.
08:29And Cameron McAdoo is going to earn that third position.
08:32And how about Kyle Peters? With all of this chaos, Kyle Peters is going to be fourth in the championship.
08:37We run through the order right now. You got Anstey, McAdoo, Hicks, one, two, three.
08:42Then it's Cole Thompson, Kyle Peters rounding out the top five.
08:45Luke Fouser, the KTM amateur rider, turning pro in World Supercross.
08:51His first official professional Supercross. Brody Connolly running seventh.
08:56That's a great ride for Fouser. Super good ride for Luke Fouser who rides
09:01with Kyle Peters and Max Anstey and Devin Simonson at Club MX.
09:05These boys have been preparing together.
09:10Michael Hicks is going to get second overall if he stays right where he's at.
09:14He's been good late in these races though.
09:17Yeah.
09:17He hasn't caught off just yet.
09:18This is going to be, if it can stay like this, this is going to be Starfuture's first ever podium.
09:23Remember Michael Hicks was third in the second moto in Sweden last year.
09:28This will be the first overall podium. There is going to be hundreds and hundreds of happy
09:34Starfuture employees in Barcelona that have stayed up to watch this crazy,
09:39crazy night here in Calgary for this electric motorcycle.
09:44He has looked good all day, all night.
09:47If you're enjoying the racing, make sure you hit that subscribe button.
09:51We've got plenty more action coming up so you don't want to miss the next heat.
09:55Yeah, you're so right.
09:55Stay tuned.
09:56It's so hard to have guys go past you in the early stages of the race,
10:00regather, refocus, and make your way to the front.
10:02We have not seen many guys do it.
10:04Justin Hill's maybe one of the other guys.
10:06Yeah, he'll be coming up next.
10:07What a wild ride.
10:08We are going to go on in that SX-1 final race.
10:11This one's been fun too.
10:12Max Antti, though, took care of business early in this main event.
10:17A little less patient than he was in those first two sprint races.
10:20He's coming into his own right now, connecting with the track.
10:24And he was aggressive early, got to the lead, pulled away.
10:26He's up 12 seconds right now on McAdoo.
10:30You see Simonson right there in the back of the screen,
10:31so he was able to get the tough block out of the tire.
10:34He sits 15th.
10:36Brutal for the overall.
10:37Here's Brian Su, who had his issues as well, went into the mechanics area.
10:42Still a great night of racing for him.
10:44What a great display and showcase here in World Supercross.
10:53This guy, though, last lap for Max Antti.
10:56Picking up where he left off number one.
11:00He didn't get the win in South Africa.
11:01He was in championship mode.
11:04But he has been in control of this World Supercross series for the last few years.
11:09A clean 45 points if he can hold on here.
11:13Michael Hicks sitting in third in the race, but would get second overall.
11:17Pays to be good in those sprint races.
11:19He got those points early, put himself in position
11:22to have his best finish in World Supercross.
11:25The best finish for a start.
11:27What a wild night of racing it has been in both classes.
11:32But for Max Antti, it just comes down to craft.
11:36He made the right decisions at the right time.
11:39All three races.
11:41Got better, got faster.
11:43Starts got better.
11:45One corner to go, and he's going to sweep the night.
11:48He wins the SuperPole.
11:49Race one, race two, and the final man of the night.
11:52It's Max Antti who grabs SX2.
11:56Perfect, might I add.
11:58He didn't want to say it, but he's been perfect so far.
12:02Cameron McAdoo.
12:03We expected that from him in this longer, longer third race.
12:07And Michael Hicks is going to cross the line.
12:09But his first podium and Stark Future's first podium.
12:13Congratulations to everybody there.
12:15Yeah.
12:15That's honestly awesome.
12:16He's fired up right now again.
12:18This guy rides everything everywhere.
12:21He was at a fairgrounds race a week ago,
12:23battling with the locals.
12:25He shows up in Calgary.
12:27Makes an absolute statement with his riding.
12:32That is going to be a happy dude on the podium.
12:36Nakadu will finish third overall.
12:39What a gutsy ride.
12:41Um,
12:42,
12:42?
12:43?
12:43?
12:43A.
12:44?
12:44?
12:44?
12:44?
12:44summar
