The former Iwasaki Residence was originally built as the home of Hisaya Iwasaki, the third president of Mitsubishi. Even today, it retains traces of its past, including the Western-style mansion designed by British architect Josiah Condor, the billiard room, and the grand hall in the Japanese-style wing.
