The garden of Zuisen-ji Temple is located behind the main hall. Skillfully designed to take advantage of the cliffside terrain, this garden blends beautifully with the natural landscape and features caves and ponds carved into the cliff face. Inside the large cave, monks would sit in meditation, gazing at the moon reflected in the pond, as they devoted themselves to their spiritual practice.
