00:14and they could be overly harsh, and then there's some people who still believe that they are an elite team
00:19that has one hell of a schedule ahead of them, tougher than last year, no question.
00:25So, really, to be quite honest, these rankings are all over the place, but I do like this one.

00:37I do, like, I find a little bit of controversy in here, and I like that.
00:41This is the quarterback tiers, which they have come up with, and Ted, there's a couple things on here.

01:25He says 50 coaches and executives, and I think there were some current GMs and some former.
01:30Five former GMs, eight current GMs, that sort of thing, yeah.
01:33So, you've got to go with what everybody puts, one, two, and three.
01:37So, it's Josh Allen, it's Patrick Mahomes, and it's Joe Burrow, I'm guessing, are three of them.

02:29has a hole or two in his game.
02:31And on this, we've got one, two, three, four, five, six quarterbacks.

02:41So, you don't have to start yelling out who you think is on there.

02:51Well, I would think Drake May has got to be there.

03:13They just want to see how he does in a high-pressure situation when he's not injured and on a

03:18So, I think that this is, if anything, this is going to be a year where he can prove that
03:22he is one of the best.

04:33Like, he's a player that doesn't get a ton of respect, although here he seems to be right probably where

04:41He had a passer rating of 105.5 last year, so Goff had a good year.
04:45There's no doubt about that.

04:48Is there, when you think, Ted, about Drake May and what you're hearing about his leadership, we played that clip

04:56And when you know that, you know, in his third year, that's kind of when you start to feel that
05:00this might be your team indeed,
05:01and you're just not, you know, coming in here trying to feel things out.
05:05How do you think his game is going to change now that not only does he have weapons, but he's
05:09got more confidence?
05:11It's, I mean, it's hard to, it's kind of hard to even think about it, the fact that he was
05:14brought up for MVP,
05:15that he could just get leaps and bounds better, but I think it will.
05:18So, I think it will get better because the confidence is the key to the whole thing.
05:22Usually, you get that in your, you know, in your second year, but he was still, I mean, his first
05:28year, he was 1-9.
05:31And then going into his second year, it's a new offense, and he still doesn't feel like he kind of
05:36maybe is real comfortable
05:38because he's learning a new offense, and he, again, was 1-9 the year prior.
05:42So, you know, then, you know, in your second year, you go to the Super Bowl, you're running up for
05:48MVP,
05:49he's like a different guy.
05:50He's a completely different guy.
05:52You can just tell there's just not, I don't know, just, there's a little, there's always a little bit of
05:57tension in him,
05:58just subtle, but it was there.
05:59I sense no tension, none at all.
06:03He's just, he's just playing, he's going to play free, he's going to play with confidence.
06:07Him, with confidence, forget about it.
06:09I mean, it's scary, man.
06:10It's scary to think about it.
06:11So, he's going to have a leap in his third year where most guys have in their second year.
06:17And I say that knowing he, in his second year, he was the run-up for MVP, which is insane.
06:22So, yeah, it's going to be a, he's going to be a different person.
06:27You're going to see a different Drake May because of the fact that he's, I think he feels like he's
06:33a made man now.
06:34I feel like he thinks he deserves the commercials, he deserves the adulation, he deserves the praise,
06:40where I don't think he felt that, which speaks to his humility, which is great.
06:45But now he knows he's earned it, and so he's going to be, he's going to play and handle himself
06:51as a guy who's an established veteran,
06:53which is what you want.
06:54And, Rich, I wonder, to Ted's point about coaches not voting Drake that, you know, that high,
06:59is the confidence thing something that they were afraid or didn't see last year?
07:03Because the only difference between him and Burrow is confidence.
07:06Burrow's got the cocky swagger.
07:08But they both went to a Super Bowl and lost.
07:10They're almost identical players, except Drake's much younger.
07:13But they're very similar.
07:14They took a lot of hits.
07:15You know, they disappointed in the Super Bowl.
07:17It's just one was an obvious, confident alpha, and Drake is ascending to that.
07:21I mean, sometimes I wonder, like, were they not on that?
07:24I mean, these coaches all watched film of, you know, common opponents,
07:27so you'd think there would be coaches that would see a lot of tape on Drake.
07:30I'm telling you, the Cam Newton thing just swayed people.

07:39Which I understand, but if you watch the games, you go, oh, that was a special play.

08:24I'll tell you what I've noticed with Drake May is he speaks differently now.

08:35he seems to be more measured in the way that he speaks.
