00:06people during the day, and at night, they will add light to the path.
00:10It's born out of a partnership between the Tunapuna-Piaco Regional Corporation and Exceptional Concepts Limited, with talk spanning a
00:19lot longer than the time it took to mobilize the project, as explained by TPRC Chairman Josiah Austin.
00:25We've been talking about it for at least two years, and we've put it into action within the last two
00:32months or so.
00:32So we're glad that today we could finally land this. As you know, this is part of our public-private
00:38partnerships.
00:38We in the Tunapuna-Piaco Regional Corporation cherish. This is one of many, but a very large one, one that
00:45we've hoped for for quite some time.
00:47We're just proud to have this come to fruition today.
00:51Austin believes it will add benefit to the space, which he knows is heavily utilized.
00:56As you know, this space, we call this the Mecca of the East, where hundreds of people come here daily
01:01for recreation, for exercise.
01:04We even have commercial use here, so it's a mixed-use type space.
01:07The TPRC indicates that those who use the Edi Hart grounds have been anticipating the project, and Austin hopes that
01:14it will lead to even more people venturing to the spot.
01:17The fact that it is solar-powered is in line with part of the TPRC's environmental focus.
01:24We continue to push renewable energy, and this is a step in the right direction, especially for our public-private
01:30partnerships.
01:31There are more solar-powered-type partnerships we have planned, but this is the first of its kind in the
01:37Tunapuna-Piaco region, and we're really proud of what we've seen today.
01:41Managing Director of Exceptional Concepts, Christian Jagannath, is grateful for what he says has been support by the TPRC for
01:49his company's creative projects.
01:51The solar panels are designed primarily, we have tested in our shop, they are designed to last at least, because
01:59we know we're intending rain this season, at least three to four days without any sunlight.
02:03So we have catered for the very long days of plenty rain, but then we know some tropical sun, and
02:08within one day we're fully charged.
02:10The new markers serve to add a bit of upliftment, at least for the TPRC, which notes the recent loss
02:17of the pavilion at the grounds.
