People entering the Piarco International Airport on Monday were given a special welcome from Caribbean Airlines.

It came as CAL hosted its annual Customer Arrival Activation ahead of Carnival 2025.

00:00The Spirit of Carnival was present at Piaco International Airport as part of Caribbean
00:18Airlines' customer arrival activation under the theme From the Jet to Juvé.
00:23As such, passengers from various locations such as Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Orlando, Barbados
00:29Kingston, Antigua and St. Vincent, who had Trinidad ticketed as their destination, got
00:35to soak up a bit of the country's culture in what Cal refers to as a mini-carnival.
00:41Chief Executive Officer of CAL, Gavin Madeira, expounded on the initiative.
00:45Caribbean Airlines is saying home is where the heart is and that's the extension of our
00:50campaign Welcome Home, where we welcome foreigners, we welcome people who are abroad for our visit,
00:55everybody back home to where your heart really is, and we also welcome you to the culture,
01:00the culture of Trinidad and Tobago.
01:02We have our culture in the park, we have our Juvé band coming up and Caribbean Airlines
01:06is really representing all that we have as a people and all that we see in terms of our
01:12passengers and all the journeys that we live every day.
01:15He said from carnival to cricket to food and music festivals, the airline is a cultural
01:20bridge.
01:22Flying can be tedious to some people, but not this passenger.
01:25She was full of vibes.
01:26The pilot made me feel at home, she was hyping us up, telling us we're going to go to Marshall
01:33Madness, I was hyped from the time I came on to now, and this top it off.
01:42And it was a first time experience for one tourist.
01:45I chose to come here for carnival because I wanted to experience it as well, so I hope
01:51it's going to be great.
01:52People were very nice, the service is great, the flight was fantastic, I have nothing to
01:58say.
01:59Soca artist Devon Martin, better known as Lyrical, was also at CAL's customer arrival
02:03activation where he performed for visitors and those returning home alike.
02:08And we welcome everybody from the airport into the streets as they go and enjoy the
02:14greatest show on earth, Carnival 2025 Trinidad and Tobago.
02:19And this is very important because as you get a warm welcome, it creates the vibes and
02:23the energy for you to go out and start the vibe, just come like the pre-game, to go out
02:28there and enjoy all the festivities.
