00:00Yeah, Matthew Boyd here at the front of that rotation for the Cubs.
00:04He's on the mound tonight, taking on a struggling Dodgers team.
00:09Robleski, who has got a bit of a home run issue, which we knew was coming.
00:14And boy, did it come in a big, big way.
00:16His last start.
00:19I, you know, again, they're barely a 500 team since July 1st.
00:24I get everyone's all happy at school ball.
00:26But this is a fascinating series to me.
00:28Now going on the road, taking on the Cubs here tonight.
00:32Yeah, and we haven't even, you know, an hour and a half in, we haven't even looked at any of
00:36the games.
00:38Yeah, Dodgers have not played great.
00:43But, yeah, like this is a potential playoff series.
00:46We could see this happening.
00:48And, you know, Cubs are going to be, you know, entering feeling pretty good about their day today.
00:53And, you know, Dodgers are probably saying to themselves, man, like what happened to us in Boston this weekend, you
00:58know?
00:58So, you know, maybe they get right.
01:00Can you show those odds to me again?
01:01I want to see those odds one more time in that game.
01:04So the Dodgers are only minus 120 tonight, Joe?
01:09Yeah.
01:09Like when is, when's the last time that that has happened?
01:12Dodgers only like a slight favorite in a game?
01:17Because they haven't hit lefties.
01:19And Boyd's actually been a pretty good one here since coming off the IL.
01:24It's not a great match.
01:25And now if I'm the Dodgers, I need to get out of Chesra V because it was getting a little
01:29stale.
01:30They were having, it has not been a great stretch for them at all.
01:34But if I'm the Cubs who had their hands full with the Yankees of all teams here, yeah, I want
01:41to come out swinging here tonight because you're not having to go up against Otani.
01:46You're not having to go up against Yamada.
01:47This is a winnable game here for the Cubs.
01:50And you want to talk about a series that we're going to see come September, October.
01:54So San Diego's taking on Arizona in Arizona, the two teams that you and I said, boy, oh, boy, don't
02:03sleep on them wrapping up a couple of wildcard spots.
02:07Brandon Fott versus Michael King.
02:10It's a pick-em price here tonight, which I find fascinating.
02:15Yeah, and both teams are going to be talked about a lot.
02:18San Diego will be the more talked about team.
02:20But Arizona, I think, you know, to me, still on paper is the better team.
02:25But now you wonder, did San Diego just put themselves a little bit above Arizona with those two pitching moves?
02:32You know, how do you judge these two teams on paper in terms of offense, Joe?
02:36I mean, I kind of look at it and I say to myself, would I want Corbin Carroll, Cattell Marte,
02:45Newt Barr, Arenado?
02:47Or on the flip side, do I like having Sheets, who's great against righties, Jackson Merrill, Tatis, Machado?
02:56I think I may now lean towards San Diego a little bit.
03:01If you add that starting pitching and you add the back end of that bullpen, what a battle these two
03:06teams are going to have.
03:07And nothing will get decided this week.
03:08You know that.
03:09I mean, one team's going to win two out of three.
03:11It's just the way it's going to go.
03:12But what a fight to the finish for these two teams.
03:15And you're not going to go through the Dodgers, I don't think.
03:17Either of these teams are going to catch the Dodgers.
03:19But it's going to be fun.
03:20That division now all of a sudden has become a lot more interesting.
03:23.
03:23.
