00:00It will be the last game that you see there on the board, Joe.
00:03And that is the Dodgers facing off against the Royals
00:06because Tariq Skubal will make his Dodger Blue debut at Chavez Ravine.
00:12And so Noah Cameron actually pretty good, I thought, recently.
00:15But, you know, no doubt Skubal's going to want to have a big game.
00:18This will be his first Dodgers start in L.A. tonight.
00:23Yes, it will.
00:24And just like that, though, you mentioned it.
00:27The National League West has become a very big focus of attention here.
00:32After just a month ago, it was like, yeah, OK, so the Dodgers win.
00:37What else?
00:39Well, I mean, the Dodgers are now four games worse than the Milwaukee Brewers
00:42for the best record in Major League Baseball.
00:45You got the Braves, who had an interesting series against the Yankees
00:49in the Bronx over the weekend.
00:51But they're a game ahead of the Dodgers.
00:53And, you know, crazy enough, it has not been the pitching, Craig,
00:58that has been the issues for the Dodgers.
01:01It's the hitting.
01:02And, you know, we did think that this was certainly a roster
01:07from an offensive standpoint that might have been a little too top-heavy there.
01:12But it's starting to play out here a little bit.
01:16I mean, an extra inning win against Arizona is not what I would consider,
01:21ah, they figured it out, it'll all be OK.
01:24I mean, they have some problems, but I think it's all on the offensive side here.
01:30As of right now, it would appear that, but it's just a slump probably for L.A.
01:33And the clubhouse, they're saying there's nothing wrong,
01:35and eventually things will pick up.
01:37And I'm guessing they're right.
01:38But, you know, the interesting part of this is that the Milwaukee Brewers
01:42just really can't be beat.
01:43It feels like they're such a tough team to beat right now
01:46that they may end up just taking that number one seed.
01:49And as you can see there, the Red Sox certainly had a great week.
01:51Tampa Bay, I think they kind of put the end to the Mariners, I thought, Joe,
01:56over the weekend, sweeping them in Seattle.
01:58Seattle honoring their best players of all time and getting swept in the process.
02:03Wow, I didn't see that coming.
02:05You know, certainly San Diego playing well, too.
02:07You know, I still think the Dodgers will have no problem winning the division.
02:10You know, the landscape has certainly changed a little bit,
02:12and Arizona does get Colorado this week for a few games,
02:14so they could make a little bit of a charge.
02:16But, you know, naturally, I think every team goes through it.
02:19Dodgers just happen to be going through it right now.
02:22Yeah, and like, Scoble, I am sure.
02:25Now, the interesting part, too, is that it's not like Scoble's going up
02:29against a National League team here.
02:30He's going up against an American League team that knows very much
02:35what he is all about here.
02:37And you're right about Noah Cameron.
02:39His last four starts have been extremely well, at least last three anyway.
02:44Picked up the win against the Twins on Wednesday last week.
02:49One run.
02:50Season-high nine strikeouts over eight innings.
02:53They had a lot of high hopes for him this year.
02:56But, you know, he's a lefty.
02:58And if it's one thing the Dodgers have had an issue with,
03:02it's hitting left-handed pitching here for some reason.
03:05But feels like runs might be a little bit harder to come by,
03:10at least until, and you and I both know this, Craig,
03:13at least until the bullpen of Kansas City gets involved.
03:15And then I think all bets are off.
03:17Is that fair?
03:18Right.
03:18The Royals just, you know, can't get out of their own way
03:20once they get late into the game.
03:22So that's certainly a fair point there.
03:24And, look, the Dodgers are a monster favorite tonight.
03:27I mean, anytime you're looking at a game where they're at home
03:29and they've got a guy like Scoble on the mound,
03:31it's kind of hard to go the other way.
03:32And the Royals have really not given us a lot to cheer about
03:35all season long.
03:36So I certainly would not expect that.
03:38You know, plus what, I can't even see that.
03:40Is it 370 or 270 there on my board?
03:43270.
03:44270.
03:45Okay.
03:45Yeah, so that's actually not as big as some of their lines have been.
03:49But either way, yeah.
03:50I mean, there's going to be better games to watch tonight.
03:52But it'll be fun to see Scoble pitch in that first inning in L.A.
03:55and make his debut.
