00:00I had never driven up on a dog like that.
00:03Oh my god, what am I supposed to do?
00:07Oh my god, I can't.
00:09I knew that I was, of course, not going to leave him.
00:12I was like, I am going to keep him for the night.
00:15He's a sweet puppy.
00:17I sat with him and let him just rest.
00:20He was 40 pounds when I found him.
00:23Very, very emaciated, very scary to see.
00:27Ooh, oopsie, careful.
00:30He was still just so, so, so tired.
00:33I know he felt safe.
00:37He was very exhausted.
00:41Oh, he's sleepy.
00:45And good morning.
00:47He wouldn't go on any walks.
00:48He was still just so weak.
00:52Come on, Scooter, baby.
00:55Oh, I think his paws is hurting.
00:59I was like, well, I'm going to play him some music.
01:01The doctor was like, he's not in good shape.
01:03They were like, he just needs to gain some weight.
01:05Knowing he's probably been through some stuff, I really fell for him.
01:09I was thinking more and more of how I could keep him.
01:13Scooter was already doing so much better.
01:15Just after a couple days, he had gained a couple pounds.
01:18At that point, knowing I had made connection with him, I had to make him a part of our family.
01:26I was very happy and excited.
01:28Just seeing him come out of his shell.
01:31This is Aubrey.
01:33Ew.
01:34I can feel his teeth.
01:35It's like night and day now.
01:37He is a different dog.
