00:01I'm a Mets fan that recaps every single Mets series in song form, and you can follow me

00:09So what inspired me to combine my love for music and my love for the Mets really just
00:14came from such a genuine, deep background in music, but also being such a massive Mets
00:19fan.
00:20And I just wanted to combine the two just to see what happened.
00:23And then I posted a video, and before I knew it, it picked up traction, and here I am.
00:29When my first video went viral, it was kind of surreal, because I was in a rehearsal,
00:33and my phone just kept buzzing and buzzing with notifications, and I didn't know what
00:36happened.
00:37I thought something bad happened.
00:38I was like, oh my gosh, what went wrong?
00:40And then I checked, and there was a bunch of follows and reposts and notifications, and
00:45I was like, oh, then maybe there's something going on here.
00:48I think what I'm most proud of with my account is being consistent with it.
00:53Also the fact that if you were to ask me a few years ago if I'd be singing twice a
00:57week
00:57on social media, I would tell you that you were absolutely crazy.
01:00But I'm definitely proud of myself just for how far I've come there.
01:03But also then to be able to meet people and for people to show their appreciation and their
01:10love for what I do to make people smile, that brings me so much joy that I can't even describe.
01:15So the way I would choose a song for a recap is I would choose a song from an artist
01:19or a
01:19band that's from the city of the team that we're playing against.
01:22So for example, if we play, if we did the Yankees, I did Billy Joel.
01:27If we did the Braves, I've done Usher or TLC.
01:31If we did the Rockies, I've done John Denver.
01:34So it's related to the opponent in some degree, so it's not a random poll.
01:38It's something that's related to the series in some way.
01:40I would say the crossover between music and baseball for me is massive because I am a huge
01:46musician, but I also used to play a lot of baseball.
01:48So it's a way to keep things fresh in my mind of how I approach things.
01:53But stuff in terms of warming up if you're a pitcher versus warming up if you're a musician,
01:58making sure that you're ready to go for as long as you have to play.
02:00Stuff like that.
02:01The mental approach of being consistent when you're out there, of being a competitor whether
02:06you're on the mound or in the batter's box and being locked in and focused.
02:09A lot of those things come into play, but I do think that music in its own way is its
02:13own
02:14sport.
02:15Sports definitely can be musical too, I think baseball definitely can be musical because
02:18there's a lot of rhythm elements, whether you're a pitcher, whether you're a hitter,
02:23whether you're in the field, kind of getting that flow.
02:25A lot of things are rhythm and timing, and those things definitely translate for me because
02:29I'm also primarily a drummer as well.
02:32The thing that brings me the most joy with doing this is seeing people, making people smile
02:38amidst a tough season because there's been a lot of tough times this year.
02:44But the best that I can do is try to bring somebody a smile amidst the craziness that's
02:49been.
02:50The community of Mets fans is beyond passionate, loyal.
02:54I think we all want to win at the heart of all of it.
02:59I think now it's obviously a tough time for a lot of us because you want the team to win
03:03so bad, and it's been a tough season.
03:05But I think from a creative standpoint, I think we're a community that embraces creation,
03:11that embraces art, and just embraces genuine.
03:15I've met, there's the Jingle Man who does stuff with me too, he's incredible.
03:20Evan, the artist, who does a lot of painting stuff, and Jay Mack, he did the OMG sign back
03:26in 2024, where that went super viral and that was on the field throughout the playoff run.
03:30But it's a great tight-knit community, my guy, Vintage Mets, there are a lot of creative
03:35people out in the Mets world, and I think what's great is that we embrace each other.
03:39It's never competitive, it's all about love and just showing our passion for our team.
