00:00Uh, interesting enough. Uh, they did announce, I believe McGreevy going tonight for the Cardinals
00:05taking on Colin Ray for the Cubs here. And, uh, we also know that Bush stadium,
00:11big run suppressor. That's not a good hitters ballpark, but with these two guys, my goodness,
00:18are we getting runs in this one here tonight? I would like to think so. Uh, the quality of
00:25pitching certainly isn't there. The offense certainly isn't there, at least from the
00:30Cardinals perspective, a team that I've really just haven't been high on overall, but looking
00:35at what we have from Colin Ray and McGreevy, like how are we not, how are they not at least
00:40giving
00:40up two or three runs a piece? If they each give up two, three runs, you have the nine, you
00:45get the
00:45push with the nine, the bullpen is coming to play. I think we can get to three apiece, maybe four
00:50apiece, and then we're one run away from pushing this over to nine. And that's really where we
00:55should be seen. The game's a toss up to begin with, you know, minus one Oh five, minus one
00:5815 ish on both sides. The offensive players individually, I think are good in their own
01:03right. The team's overall struggle, but I think there's enough pop in these lineups to get some
01:07runs against McGreevy, especially. I mean, Colin Ray's last three starts versus Detroit gave up
01:14four earned. Then you had Minnesota three earned Baltimore three. You know, we're getting some
01:21runs here, even for a terrible Cardinals offense over the last month. Uh, and boy, they're going
01:28to have some decisions to make too, right? We thought they won far too many games that they
01:33were playing way above their head in the first half. And sure enough time, they have come back
01:37down to reality. Uh, number 26th in major league baseball over the last two weeks against right-handed
01:44pitching. That means even mediocre to less than mediocre right-hand pitching. They have struggled
01:51with, but the Cubs team total over here, uh, feels like not a bad way to go with McGreevy.
01:58I'm seeing four and a half out there for their team total. I think, I think that's fine. No,
02:04we're dealing with a nine game total overall. It is plus 100 to the over. So Cubs team total,
02:09if you can't get it done against McGreevy, you know, are you really a team that's going to do
02:13anything in the post-season? Are you going to make any noise if you can't do it against
02:16a pitching staff such as the Cardinals? I, I mean, you gotta be kidding me. This is a guy
02:23that's got a 3.07 ERA and every other number Tom tells me that it's at least a run and
02:29a half to
02:30almost two runs worse. Uh, which means he's getting away with unbelievable batted ball luck here and,
02:38uh, 82 or 83% left on base. Uh, so he has been very fortunate and Arizona last time out
02:47was the
02:47team that actually got to him finally and, uh, and made him pay here a little bit, but yeah, this,
02:53this, and that bullpen, by the way, St. Louis is not good, but they should be sellers. Should
03:01they not Tom at the deadline here? I don't know what the Cardinals are thinking they're doing here.
03:06It's time to, it's time to start selling. They may be, I'm going to put them on the sellers to
03:12slash standing Pat, just because they don't, you know, they have a few pieces and I don't know if
03:17they want to disrupt the young core that they have, uh, the name going around for the Cardinals
03:22and everyone's, you know, Yvonne Herrera might be in there as a player that could be traded,
03:26but they have their, their kind of core locked up. And I think they just stand pat and don't make
03:30too
03:31many. No one is going to be trading for any of their pitchers. No team's going to want those
03:35pitchers. They would want the bats, but also these are bats that they're not going to be
03:38willing to part with. So I see the Cardinals as just a quiet team just because they're not going
03:42to make any moves that they don't have to. Yeah. It's such a well-run organization too,
03:48over the years, Tom, right? Like it's, they, they don't have a ton of losing seasons, uh, over the
03:54last, uh, you know, two decades. I think this is not an organization that it doesn't understand
04:00how to do this. And even when they reset, uh, they tend to, they tend to over, uh, they tend
04:06to overperform anyway. And that's kind of exactly what they're doing here.
