00:00But the team that they played into the wee hours of those extra innings was the White Sox, who then
00:06had to leave Boston last night after getting swept, which is just laughable given the fact that they had a
00:15lead in every inning, including the extra innings, they just could not hold on to it.
00:20But now they got to fly to take on Cleveland. They didn't land till about 2.30, 3 o'clock
00:25in the morning. Now they got to take on the Guardians at Progressive. Pretty good lefty there, Parker Mezik. Schultz
00:32is a gas can, any which way you look at it, here for the White Sox. And if you're the
00:38White Sox, you emptied that bullpen last night.
00:41What, you have nine guys? So Noah Schultz is going to have to go, they might, I'm shocked if they
00:47don't put a starter, like an opener, just to try to give them a little time to get some extra
00:52innings, because that bullpen is worked from that series against the Red Sox. I can't trust the Guardians offense. That's
01:00my problem here, Scott.
01:02Yeah. What would the over-under is what, I'm guessing eight, eight and a half or so? Yeah. You know,
01:08I didn't realize, I forgot about that, that angle as far as, yeah, the White Sox watching that game, lead
01:13after lead, reliever after reliever after reliever. Oh, seven and a half. I'm sorry, seven and a half.
01:17Seven and a half. Oh, okay. It's even worse. So, but you're right. You got a guy whose ERA starting
01:24is close to six and Noah Schultz. So, yeah, you can't go under. Parker Mezik's been terrific.
01:31You know, maybe, I think you said it early, maybe White Sox team total under and not worry about the
01:36Guardians, you know, beating up on Schultz. And Schultz, really, more importantly, just, I could see the White Sox saying,
01:42listen, dude, you got to take one for the team. You know, I know you're pitching well, but all the
01:46guys pitched yesterday. We're all tired. You're going to have to go six innings regardless. I don't care if it's
01:50seven, nothing. You're going to stay in there. So that would be the problem. How about the guards? Eight and
01:56O under in Mezik's last road game starts.
01:5910 and two under in his last 12 starts against winning teams as well. Although the White Sox are the
02:06number one over team in all of baseball. 63, 48, and two, 15 more overs than unders. So you got
02:12a little, you know, battle here. Cleveland coming up being swept.
02:16I just, I can't believe that, but they are against the Mets. And they're two games under 500. That's the
02:22worst they've been all year. Tied with Minnesota. Half game behind Texas for the final spot.
02:28You know, the under is tempting, but that, that open angle. Yeah. I think I would lay the, just minus
02:34140 with Parker Messick. He's allowed like three runs or less. And like almost every single start this year was,
02:40I was really, I think it's like two or three, but other than that, it's three runs or less. He's
02:44a good pitcher. He all right. 2.57.
02:46But very good. Yeah. So give me, give me, give me, and White Sox are a very left-handed heavy
02:52lineup to normally. So, you know, lefty on lefty. I think Mezik's got the advantage. Is this a good spot
03:01for a nerfie here?
03:02Scott, you think? Um, from Cleveland's standpoint, well, from the White Sox scoring, uh, yes, Cleveland scoring. Yeah. They, listen,
03:12they can't score with a $20 bill and a cheap drop-off, right? So that's what I'm saying. Right.
03:20I mean, my goodness. Yeah. I think, uh, you know, especially, uh, you got the White Sox who landed at
03:28three o'clock in the morning. They're, you know, they're just going to go out there and go through.
03:31Schultz, as long as he doesn't give up anything crazy. But again, what on this lineup here at the Guardian
03:36scares you? They can't hit anybody here. So yeah, I, I, give me no runs or give me the first,
03:44um, give me maybe a couple of times through you give, uh, maybe a first five here with Cleveland. If
03:51we can trust them, I, you know, cause I believe Parker Mezik's the better arm here. I think he's going
03:56to control the White Sox lineup who hasn't been great to begin with.
04:00Uh, yeah, I think there's going to be an opportunity, uh, here to back. I just listen to Cleveland bullpen
04:07has been blowing lead after lead during they've won lost eight of their last, uh, what? 11. I, they've been
04:14terrible too.
04:15Those got Dave Smith ain't closing anybody out.
04:18They get swept by the Mets at home. So you're right. I mean, Cleveland's got the fourth lowest batting average
04:26in baseball behind, uh, only the Stankys, but not Seattle and Cincinnati.
04:30Cincinnati with the worst is really just like, wow. Mind boggling. Um, hitting in that ballpark, how can they have
04:38the worst batting average? Wow. That's amazing. But.
