00:00But, I mean, the only thing that I want to know, George,
00:02when the Cubs play is who's going to try and get Pete Crow Armstrong out.
00:06Nobody's been able to do it.
00:09I mean, fantastic.
00:11This guy's a fantasy league winner, right?
00:13An absolute fantasy league winner for what he's doing.
00:15Stealing bases, power.
00:17I mean, and you drafted him later on in your draft, right?
00:19You didn't get him in the first couple of rounds yet
00:21because we didn't know this was coming.
00:23So he's been utterly awesome here.
00:26Reds won yesterday.
00:27Cubs.
00:28Cubs, man.
00:29Craig, if they're willing to make an addition or two at the deadline,
00:33you know, maybe they can compete with the Phillies and the Dodgers of the world.
00:36You know, it would be really interesting.
00:37I'm sort of hoping they do here.
00:39But they've been a really good story.
00:41Although, listen, the Cubs are the odds on favorite to win that division.
00:43So, well, we shouldn't be too surprised here.
00:45Reds, I mentioned, and I have a ticket on them to win the division.
00:49You know, we'll make the playoffs, maybe both.
00:51So we'll see how that works out here.
00:52But probably haven't played as well as I thought they would this season here.
00:56But they're the first game off the board today.
00:58They're, what, 220?
00:59So looking forward to that.
01:00But hard not to like the Cubbies.
01:02Agreed.
01:03All right.
01:04A's and Blue Jays.
01:05You definitely want to be fading the A's right now.
01:07They're just not playing great.
01:08Although Gunnar Hoglund will pitch today for the A's.
01:11Maybe they'll get a break here because it looks like Toronto has an opener.
01:15Braylon Fisher is the announced starter for Toronto.
01:19Pitched very well, but mostly out of the bullpen.
01:21And J.P. Sears Sunday against Kevin Gossman.
01:24That's the better of the two matchups.
01:25Maybe the A's finally get it going today, George.
01:27But just nothing has gone their way.
01:31Listen, I think the A's will hit.
01:33You know, I think fantasy-wise, we're probably going to love this.
01:36Right?
01:36There's going to be a lot of action in this game.
01:37Every game's gone over in this series here.
01:39I don't see that changing today.
01:41I think I should have checked with the over.
01:42It's probably 10 and a half for this game.
01:44But, yeah, the A's aren't playing well.
01:46They're hitting solid.
01:48The Jays can hit at home.
01:49They can't hit on the road.
01:50Man, that Jays-Texas series earlier this week was like, oh, my God.
01:53Watch your paint dry.
01:54That's neither the team could hit.
01:56So it is what it is there.
01:57So, yeah, I think I love our batters here.
01:59Probably not going to like the pitching outside of Gossman tomorrow.
02:04Also on Saturday, really good pitching matchups both days between the St. Louis Cardinals and Texas Rangers.
02:11It's just a matter of if the Rangers showed what they did last night, they'll be fine.
02:15But they just haven't done that all season long.
02:17So Sonny Gray starts today for St. Louis.
02:20For Texas, it looks like it's going to be Patrick Corbin, left-handed pitcher, who will start on Saturday.
02:26And then George, a better matchup maybe of the two.
02:29Eric Fetty looks to me like Jacob deGrom is going to get that Sunday start.
02:34You know, I think we probably need to, you know, kind of circle back.
02:38I mean, look, it's still a long way to go, but Jacob deGrom is, you know, a third of the season healthy, George.
02:44And, you know, the other thing, too, is that you can see he's kind of cut back a little on the strikeouts,
02:49where normally if he was pitching 60 innings in a major league season, you probably would say,
02:54all right, he's probably struck out 80, but less than a strikeout per inning.
02:58Maybe that's what's keeping him healthy.
03:01Well, he said that, right?
03:02He said that during the spring training, he wasn't going to throw as hard here,
03:04because maybe that's why he had the arm injuries here, going max velocity every pitch.
03:09I think it's become he's smarter.
03:12You know, you don't need to – listen, you don't have to throw the ball at 99 to get major league pitches –
03:15major league batters out.
03:16You know, you don't need to do that.
03:17And his arms is – obviously, his body is not built to do that anyway here.
03:20So it's been great to see because he's been fantastic, right?
03:23He's really been really good here.
03:24It was a little weird on Monday's start against Gossman, by the way, and the Blue Jays,
03:29where he went, what, five and a third and didn't strike out a bat a first time in his career
03:32that he started giving him to strike out somebody.
03:34So it is what it is there.
03:36But, yeah, I expect him to pitch very well tomorrow.
03:38I don't really have any doubt about that.
03:40Patrick Corbin, I don't know, soul to soul to the devil, pumpkin, whatever.
03:45I don't – never saw this coming.
03:47He's a guy, Greg, you could have given me $100 and I wouldn't put him on my roster.
03:51But he's been very good this season here.
03:53Gray and Fetty, they're kind of funny.
03:55Cardinals wanted to get rid of both, right?
03:57They tried to trade both.
03:57Gray had the 10-5, so he turned it down.
04:00Nope, not going anywhere.
04:01And I guess Fetty, they weren't getting the offers they were hoping to get for them.
04:04R&O didn't want to leave either.
04:05I guess St. Louis is a really nice place to play.
04:07But we'll see.
04:08Will St. Louis make additions at the deadline if he keeps playing as well?
04:12They're in a wild card spot right now.
04:13They're playing well.
04:14But I wonder if they realize it doesn't matter.
04:16This is a retooling year, rebuilding year, whatever you want to call it here.
04:20And we're not going to give away future assets to go for it this year
04:22when we know we can't win the World Series.
