00:09But I want to finish on women's health.
00:14I'm a woman. I'm a mum.
00:16I've lived with endometriosis and I almost lost my daughter at birth.
00:24You all know I'm a bit of a crier.
00:26So, these experiences not only defined who I am,
00:33they defined what I believe government should do for working women.
00:37For too long, women's pain was dismissed.
00:40I was one of those women. I was just a girl.
00:43And if I want to be remembered for one thing, it's this.
00:47I led a government.
00:53I led a government that listened to girls about their health.
01:00Tens of thousands of you wrote in.
01:03We opened 15 women's health clinics across the state.
01:07We've rolled out the green whistle for pain relief free of charge.
01:11And you can get the pill at the chemist without having to pay to see a GP.
01:18And if your child, if your child is sick in the middle of the night,
01:22you can now visit Australia's first virtual emergency department.
01:27It's free with no weight from their bed.
01:32This is what happens when women are heard.
01:35I'm proud to be Victoria's second female Premier.
01:39And there have absolutely been moments when it's been hard and it's been personal.
01:44But the chance to make a difference was worth it.
01:48And if you're a woman making your start in politics,
01:52let me say this to you today.
01:55Please don't look at what I have experienced this week
01:58and think, stuff that, I don't want to be involved.
02:01Look at the support I've experienced over my career
02:05and think, I can make a difference here too.
02:10And if you want to make a difference in politics,
02:12you've got to get up and fight.
02:14And I am a fighter.
02:16I've always fought for my family's labour values.
02:20For my dad, the Sparky, who Jeff Kennett sacked.
02:23For my brother, the nurse, saving lives.
02:25And for families just like mine across Victoria,
02:29who rely on a job to get ahead.
02:32I fight for working class families.
02:35It's in my blood.
02:37And I would have absolutely relished the fight this November.
02:44I was more than ready.
02:46I saw off two Liberal leaders.
02:49Now I expect my successor will see off the third.
02:54And if they don't, One Nation certainly will.
02:59And that remains the biggest risk at this election.
