00:03Jure Coleman Ware started cutting hair for fun at 15 years old.
00:08Just growing up with all the brothers and all that, there was no one to cut our hair,
00:11so we were just taking turns cutting each other's hair.
00:15He loved it so much, the hobby has now turned into a fully-fledged business,
00:21outgrowing a long-running DIY studio in the family shed.
00:24Heaps of the boys that would come through and get haircuts anyway,
00:27so yeah, once we got into the shed then more just started to come in there.
00:32It's taken 12 years to get here.
00:34Along the way, Jure's younger brother joined the business.
00:37He's been cutting hair for a long time there and just seeing him cut hair makes me want to try.
00:42Support from family and friends has helped.
00:45All the boys would come up to him and say,
00:46oh bro, are you going to give us an haircut?
00:48Well, footy's starting to certainly get an haircut from you.
00:51With the support of the Ceduna Aboriginal Corporation,
00:53the brothers jumped at a chance to gain Certificate 3 qualifications last year,
00:58gaining the confidence to open the first barbershop in Ceduna in nearly 50 years.
01:03We ended up seeing this shop for lease,
01:07so we just said I will take the chance while we can.
01:12Turning a passion into a livelihood.
