00:00I think you'd have an easier time of unlocking the secrets than fitting inside that castle.
00:04Here's your look at the Funko Pop movies, Funko Pop Town, Mass Universe, Sorceress with Castle Greyskull.
00:20The Funko Pop Town, Mass Universe, Sorceress with Castle Greyskull is a highly sought after vinyl set based on the
00:27classic franchise.
00:28This collectible pair features the mystical guardian alongside an urban stylized heavy vinyl miniature of her legendary fortress.
00:35I think Skeletor seemed almost surprised that the Sorceress wasn't rolling out the welcome mat for him.
00:40We're going to be welcoming another Funko Pop addition to what we've looked at this week so far.
00:44First, I'd like to thank the folks over at Funko that did provide this sample.
00:47The Funko Pop Town, Mass Universe, Movie, Sorceress and Castle Greyskull, sold as a set, should be available right now
00:54online.
00:55Let's go ahead and get things going with how tall things are going to be.
00:57Clearly, though, she's the only Funko Pop.
01:00The Skeletor, I should say the Castle Greyskull, serves to be more as a statue than anything else.
01:05For how tall she is, I'm clocking the Sorceress at three and a half inches, which is about more or
01:10less to be expected.
01:11You're looking at also the figure being about nine centimeters tall.
01:15Then to the glorious Castle Greyskull.
01:17Now, again, you can either measure it from the middle or you can measure it from its sides.
01:20I think the sides clearly would be the tallest point.
01:23And I, again, am looking at this being about four and a quarter inches or about ten and a half
01:28centimeters tall.
01:30Over the course of three reviews, now, of course, including this one, we've looked at both He-Man and Skeletor.
01:35Or, then, in a video that we've also done this week as well, we've looked at, then, Man-at-Arms.
01:39Let's bring in Prince Adam.
01:41And, of course, we also looked at Teela, one of my favorites from the set.
01:45We'll start things first, though, with the Sorceress.
01:48Sorceress does actually have a lot of weight to her.
01:50And I think a lot of that can be contributed by the fact that she has her wings on the
01:53back of her body.
01:53What I think is nice, though, is that when Funko Pop was designing her, they gave her sort of more
01:58of a pearlesque kind of design for her cape.
02:01It's translucent, where maybe you may be able to make out that my hands are kind of waving behind it.
02:06But it's still very dense, very dense plastic.
02:08I also really like the way that they've handled her veil.
02:11The veil is almost, again, that same sort of translucency with a little bit of a pinkish pearl to it.
02:16I like also the headdress that they've given her, mostly done here in silver.
02:20You can still see the eagle kind of beak there in the middle.
02:23It doesn't have, of course, the little eyes that the original filmation Sorceress would have had.
02:28But I think it's still pretty close.
02:30I think if anything could be said maybe for Sorceress's design is I wish that they may have incorporated a
02:34little bit more orange in the blues.
02:36Because she seems to be a lot more like the pearls and the whites in the film.
02:39Very beautiful looking face, though.
02:41She's got much like Teela, little tiny eyelashes there in the corners of her eyes.
02:45Now, she does have some posability.
02:47But she is probably one of the most limited when it comes to things that you can actually move on
02:51her.
02:51Normally, I would be able to say you could rotate the head on the Sorceress.
02:54But because she does also have longer hair on the back than her veil, then she also has, again, her
03:00wings.
03:00It does limit, then, really what you can be able to do with the Sorceress.
03:04I also noticed, though, when it came to the bottom of her, it's not completely flat either.
03:08It almost does seem like it's got a little bit of a rounded bottom to it, a rounded edge.
03:12So it almost seems like when you're putting her down, not that she wobbles, but I feel like maybe she
03:17isn't as flat as she could be.
03:19It's almost like I'm surprised that they didn't give her, like, a clear acrylic display stand, something that they would
03:24have done here with Teela.
03:25By the way, though, for the sizing of Teela and Sorceress, which we don't know just yet their connection, we'll
03:31hopefully find that out in a sequel.
03:32But size-wise, though, they're pretty close in size.
03:36It does look a little bit like her mother, doesn't she?
03:38Of course, except for the hair color itself.
03:40But yeah, overall, it's a really nice-looking Sorceress.
03:43I think I like the Funko Pop of her.
03:45I think if anything could be said, I wish that she had maybe more oranges and more of the blues
03:50that she would have had when, of course, she transforms into the bird.
03:54Moving now our focus over to the castle.
03:56Now, the castle isn't obviously to one-to-one scale.
03:58It would have to have been a lot bigger.
04:00However, one kind of issue I really had with Castle Greyskull wasn't, first of all, the fact that it wasn't
04:05green.
04:05It was kind of more of a kind of stone gray.
04:09I also kind of didn't like the fact that it was kind of connected to the kingdom, where there was
04:13a bridge, really, that had been the castle greyskull, and then, of course, the king's kingdom, kind of connected by
04:19a bridge.
04:20I do wish, though, that castle could have maybe been off on its own, kind of like the original Filmation
04:25cartoon, where they would have had to walk a ways in order to get to the castle,
04:28without literally just having to walk across the bridge from, again, the king's castle to Castle Greyskull.
04:34Despite that, though, I do think, like, the Castle Greyskull looked overall pretty cool in the movie, and it looks
04:38really cool here as a Funko Pop town.
04:41Funko Pop towns, by the way, generally are pairing, then, a Funko Pop with, of course, the place where they
04:46generally would live as one set.
04:48I've looked at it a long time ago, and I was hoping to kind of find it where I put
04:52the set.
04:52I couldn't find where I put it, but it had a Skeletor and a Snake Mountain.
04:56Speaking, though, of Snake Mountain, of course, we have seen it in the movie.
05:00I would think that would be awesome if they could do maybe a Funko Pop town.
05:03Maybe not so much a Skeletor, because, again, we already have Boneface.
05:07He's right over here.
05:08But maybe, like, they could include it with, I don't know, Goatman, because we haven't yet gotten a Goatman in
05:13the Funko Pops.
05:13And he's also the one that's kind of gasp...
05:17He's guarding!
05:18He's guarding, of course, Snake Mountain.
05:19So I think that would be probably a fun Funko Pop town to maybe do as well.
05:23Loads of details go in to hear the castle.
05:26It is a little bit more green than the gray that it would be in the movie.
05:29But I think, like, the face and everything else for the castle looks pretty close to the way that it
05:34was in the movie.
05:35I like this moss that they've added.
05:37I would guess that this would likely be moss.
05:39It's all red here, and as you can see, it's growing all over the places of the castle on the
05:43front of the face.
05:44Now, the drawbridge does not open and close.
05:47It's interesting, though, that at the back, I guess that's supposed to be that the drawbridge is already down, right?
05:52So here's the drawbridge right here that kind of actually makes it look a little bit like the castle's tongue.
05:57And then this would likely be, I guess, the main opening.
06:00You would just likely be able to walk straight into the castle, except for whether you work for Skeletor or
06:05not.
06:06What I also really like about the castle, too, is there's a lot of good details here.
06:09There's things that you can kind of start to pick up as you're looking around it.
06:13I didn't notice this right away, that there were these tiny little stairs.
06:16Not sure really where the stairs go, unless this whole front thing opens up like a beer stein.
06:20But yeah, tiny little stairs. Tiny little stairs in there.
06:23And I guess there would be little areas where the sorcerer would be able to have a lookout,
06:26see exactly what's going on in the kingdom in front of her.
06:29However, it's heavy, and I would think that this is all likely all hard plastic.
06:34Like, it doesn't feel...
06:36Come on in.
06:37It doesn't necessarily feel...
06:38Oh, right, if you're Skeletor, you can't really come in.
06:40But it doesn't feel, though, like it's hollow,
06:42even though the bottom of this has likely been something that was put on top of the castle itself.
06:46But it does have certainly a whole lot of weight to it.
06:49It's a really nice-looking set.
06:51Again, to pair along with this, both the Sorcerer's and Castle Greyskull,
06:55I think it would be awesome if they could maybe do something similar with Snake Mountain.
06:58And do a Funko Pop Town version of Snake Mountain.
07:01But again, because we already have, like, a Skeletor,
07:03I don't know necessarily if there is a need.
07:05I guess it would be hard, like, if you're not collecting all the Funko Pop movie figures,
07:10maybe then it would be a good idea if they pit, like, a Skeletor with Snake Mountain,
07:13because then you could get the entire thing as one set.
07:15But again, like, if you are collecting the Funko Pop Masters movie,
07:19again, we'll bring in all the Funko Pop movie ones that we've already had a look at.
07:22We'll put maybe Teela really close to Sorcerer's.
07:26If you know, you know.
07:26So, and again, we can also bring in the other ones.
07:29So far, again, like, poor Skeletor.
07:31I feel bad that he's kind of also standing in the background here.
07:33He's outnumbered, greatly outnumbered,
07:35because, again, this whole entire wave does consist of basically everybody that you're seeing here right now.
07:40But there was also an Evil Lynn.
07:42She was an exclusive.
07:43A flocked Baby Cringer was also an exclusive.
07:46And actually, speaking of which, Sorcerer's Funko Pop Town of her,
07:49as well as, of course, the Castle Greyskull,
07:51that was also an exclusive.
07:53But I do hope, though, that we're going to be seeing more versions of the Funko Pop movies tied to
07:57the movie.
07:57Even though, like, even though really, like, now the movie's going to be hitting streaming services soon,
08:02I think still I would love to get, like, the new version of Triclops.
08:05I think Triclops, with the big, large eye,
08:08I imagine that as a Funko Pop.
08:09I think that would work really well.
08:10Obviously, a Trapjaw and a Beastman would be necessities,
08:14especially if you're collecting the Funko Pop movies,
08:16and especially if you love the film,
08:18while the Sorcerer's wonders if Adam will ever find his way home.
08:21If you're looking, though, to add the Pop Sorcerer's Castle Greyskull to your home,
08:25she's available right now on Funko's website for $34.99.
08:30Now, crank it again.
08:30As a Canadian collector, I will expect to pay a little bit more than that.
08:34But I think for the fact that you have a very substantial castle
08:38with really weighted plastic to it,
08:40very detailed, too,
08:41I don't think that that's a bad price at all.
08:43Plus, too, if you're also collecting the Master's movie pops,
08:46you're probably likely going to be sourcing around to get a Sorcerer's
08:49and have her displayed on the shelf with the others.
08:52Now, again, this is available right now.
08:54I said this in the review, and I'll say this again.
08:56I think to pair really nicely with the Sorcerer's and Castle Greyskull,
09:00I hope that Funko does something similar as well with a Snake Mountain.
09:04Again, you could probably put that, maybe align that with a Skeletor,
09:06but then probably people that have been collecting the Master's movie Funko Pops
09:10probably already then have a Skeletor.
09:12Maybe it would maybe be a better idea to include a Triclops, maybe a Goatman.
09:16A Goatman probably would make, I think, better sense
09:18to have him paired for a Pop Town with the Snake Mountain instead.
09:22Big thank you again to the folks over at Funko that did, of course, provide this sample.
09:26Today, we were having a look at the Funko Pop Town Masters of the Movie,
