00:21you guys heard but the weekend dropped some new music and it is juicy Ari what do you have for

00:26us okay so I was just you know on the train this morning on my way into work listening to

00:30the six

00:31new weekend tracks guys some of these lyrics it's so the very first song is called call out my name

00:37and it might as well be called Selena Gomez like it is clearly all about Selena I'm saying it's about

00:43there's a lot of Selena and a lot of Bella too yes so the weekend released a new he's calling

00:48it an

00:48album it's only six songs but there's a few songs where it's clearly about Selena and then there's

00:52another one about Bella so the first one call out my name he basically gets into how he it begins

00:57we

00:58found each other I helped you out a broken place you gave me comfort but calling for you was my

01:02mistake which yeah that was a little like we know that he's probably talking about Selena but where it

01:07gets real juicy is when he says I said I didn't feel nothing but baby I lied I almost cut

01:13a piece of

01:13myself for your life so it sounds like the weekend was saying that he almost gave Selena his kidney

01:21because he loved her and then she broke up with him and went back to her ex y'all that

01:25is real I'm

01:26sorry but the weekend went from star boy to spilling the tea and there is another line too where he

01:30was

01:30like basically you just kept me around until you decided if you wanted to go back to yeah right yep

01:35does and he's like I want you to stay even though you don't want want me girl why can't you

01:39wait please

01:39call out my name like and you hear the emotions in the song like he's like you can tell he

01:44is

01:44heartbroken honestly good because like music is a really great cathartic way to get over a breakup so

01:49well and then there's another like I've written a few songs myself I've written some lyrics there's

01:54also another song that like you were saying we're pretty sure is about Bella where he talks about how

01:59he basically says that this girl it's there's two songs one is about sex and he talks about the

02:04girl doing some equestrian like moves I won't get to this is a rated PG-13 show but he talks

02:11about how

02:11the girl has some equestrian like moves Bella rides horses so we're pretty sure that that's about her

02:16yeah there's also another right and there's another song about how like he is not interested in a

02:21relationship or love but he basically is saying like girl but you can always come back for the sex

02:26essentially so yeah yeah and he like makes a comment about like her life too yeah very yeah

02:36very intricate yeah he basically is like all those nights when you're lonely and by yourself and you're

02:41thinking about taking your life like you can call me and I'll still get my life yeah it gets real

02:45juicy

02:46in there you guys so I would highly recommend I like if you need a little bit of tea on

02:50this Friday

02:51that's a little too much it's a little too personal it's kind of like it's a little extreme

02:54I get it like in your heart's broken but it's kind of like you can't share all this and also

02:59and you can't make it so obvious he talks a lot about his pill usage of another song he's like

03:03to get out on my blues I use the red pills like he just is opening all the way up

03:08on this album so

03:19listening to Chloe and Halle's new album coming out the kids are all right it is amazing it's out

03:26now you guys it's so good and we could talk to them about it we're so happy so first off

03:43congrats on the kids are it's an amazing album it's your debut album that yes produced and you

03:50wrote which is incredible thank you so when you first started either their creative process was

03:55there a certain message or theme that you really want to convey through this album yes well it

04:01definitely just came organically you know writing this album in our living room it's a bit of being

04:06very vulnerable and just pouring out your diary into all of these songs so as we were choosing the

04:11songs you kind of started to notice this theme of empowerment and of inspiration of in a feeling

04:17like you can overcome your insecurities and growing into yourself as a young woman and the theme that

04:22was already there was the kids are all right in one of our songs and all of the songs kind

04:27of molded

04:28around that one so we were like oh maybe that's what we should call the album yeah I have had

04:34this

04:34album on repeat literally since you dropped it it's so good and the kids are all right is one of

04:37my

04:37favorite songs actually by the way thank you so that was a good album title choice thank you so we

04:42actually um debuted the behind the scenes video that you guys did for the album and you're kind of

04:46rolling them out over the next few weeks why did you guys want to give uh your fans an inside

04:50look

04:50into the behind the scenes of the album yes well it's so much fun creating and the whole process

04:56behind of what everyone sees when it's finished and so we're always documenting everything the whole

05:02process when we were creating and writing our songs we had our photo booth on on our computer so we

05:07have

05:07like all the memories of when we created the songs and I just think it's important and special to share

05:12with other young cool kids that you can do whatever you put your mind to like if you just be

05:18free and

05:18creative and show that process so they know what to do how to do it and all that good stuff

05:22so yeah

05:26so much together but we've never worked together professionally yeah and I can imagine that that

05:31would be fun but also very challenging yeah is there anything that you two learned about each other

05:36through the process that maybe you didn't know before oh yes well for me I've definitely learned

05:41patience um with my sister and in this that is needed with sisters yes and it's super fun when

05:49you get to work with your best friend and when you're working so closely together on something

05:54that's so personal it makes sense to only do it with somebody who understands your heart and

05:59understands your intentions and it just makes it all the more fun

06:14all about it so we had to choose between cash luca and erin yes so tough decision I'm happy with

06:21who

06:21she chose with I won't give it away would you guys choose the one who would risk it all for

06:27you

06:28the one that you don't have the the one you don't have to change yourself for or the one who

06:32challenges

06:33you oh I would have to say you know when the time comes I think it would be a mixture

06:42of all of them

06:43you know I think they should have all of those qualities you guys did about the album you talked

06:59about how you listen to some of your favorite theme songs like the proud I love that you said

07:02the proud family that's like one of my favorite theme song right when you were writing the grown-ish

07:06theme song but I was interested to know what else you guys watching right now in addition to grown-ish

07:10so right now we are watching black mirror the handmaid's tale oh god I am excited for season

07:20two it comes out next month April I just recently watched that trailer that was oh right I'm so

07:27excited and we also love our reality television yeah loving hip-hop real housewives love after

07:44so you mentioned that um in your behind the scenes that Beyonce who told you to do a compilation of

07:50songs in burger video instead of just one um how involved was she in making it all right yes well

07:57what we love about Beyonce is that she gives us the creative freedom to do what we want to do

08:02that's

08:03always been what's been first so normally it's just me and my sister creating it all in the living room

08:09and just coming up with a batch of songs and then once we feel confident taking it to her and

08:14then

08:14getting her input and you know learning from her is so cool because she sends back notes and you know

08:20it's really cool how she can she says like take a piece of this song and maybe try it in

08:25this song and

08:25then we're like oh cool we never would have thought of that and little tips and tricks that she has

08:30taught us along the way we're now starting to do in our songs and you know it's really cool her

08:35ear

08:35is amazing is it surreal to work with Beyonce like to be like Beyonce writes us notes back

08:41it's such a surreal feeling and like we were so happy knowing that she likes our songs and the music

08:48because like honestly my family and her validation is the only validation

08:53yeah but we just love her so much she's truly a great person

08:57you're getting a lot of validation because a lot of fans are loving this album

11:02question and it's only April

11:12in case you've been living under a rock this week and have no idea what I'm talking about

11:16I have all the details of this crime and investigation for you. Let's go down a timeline of the whole

11:23who bit Beyonce gate starting on January 31st 2018 but comedian Tiffany Haddish you might know her from Girls Trip

11:30she's been making rounds this year she's having a really big moment right now

11:34She did an interview with New York Magazine back in January where she talked about a selfie she took with

11:39Beyonce

11:39We're gonna show you the selfie. This was back in December

11:42It turns out at an after party for Jay-Z's 444 concert in LA. Also, it's hilarious the way Beyonce

11:48is like in her hair

11:50Yeah, like she's like kind of like trying to be

11:52Let's take it this year, but let's not

11:53Beyonce, but Tiffany does

11:55Well, that's the thing. You don't really know

11:57So in January Tiffany did an interview with Vulture where she talked about this selfie and the party and she

12:02revealed back in Jan

12:03She said something had went down with somebody at the party, right?

12:06I'm not at liberty to say what went down

12:08But Beyonce was telling me to have a good time and I was like no

12:10I'm gonna end up fighting this bitch and she was like no just have fun Tiffany

12:14So basically some type of altercation situation happened, but we didn't really know what

12:19Then in March DJ Khaled released a song called top off where it was with Jay-Z and Beyonce on

12:27Beyonce's on Beyonce's one of Beyonce's line she said if they're trying to party with the Queen

12:31They're gonna have to sign a non-disclosure who of course the internet took that and ran and they were

12:35like that was that

12:36That was at Tiffany for even talking about the fact that there was an altercation at a party involving Beyonce,

12:41right?

12:42Mm-hmm then this past week on Monday March 26 Tiffany's

12:46Cover story with GQ magazine came out now remember cover stories that means that the interview happened back in January

12:52before

12:53Beyonce had said please stop talking about me

12:55So this interview had already happened in January, but just now came out

12:59I'm sure Tiffany was like ehhh

13:00Right so it was like so Tiffany clearly already probably was like let me stop talking I've said too much

13:05But this interview had already happened. So it just came out this past week

13:09Oh, Tiffany was probably eww

13:10Yeah, so in the story Tiffany explains the full story of what happened at that party

13:14She says that an actress who she declined to name had a run-in with Beyonce where she bit her

13:19She says I said to Beyonce did this girl really just bite you and she said yeah

13:23I was like she's gonna get her a ssb tonight and she was like Tiffany

13:28No, don't do that that bitch is on drugs. She's not even drunk that B is on drugs

13:33She's not like that all the time. So just chill so basically something something happened where an actress a bit

13:39Beyonce on the face

13:40Tiffany witnessed it got upset was willing to fight this girl for Beyonce and Beyonce was like no no no

13:45chill like that girl's just on drugs like

13:47We're not going to make it into a thing. So that whole story came out in the GQ cover story

13:51I would not want to be a person

13:52I didn't even realize I didn't realize how much time had passed with the GQ cover story

13:56Yeah, that's a big thing because it was a big thing like the beehive knows like the beehive knows that

14:00if you are

14:01Talking about Beyonce like anything happening in her life. That's a dangerous move

14:05So the fact that this just came out and now everyone's looking at Tiffany like ooh girl. I'm scared of

14:09the beehive

14:09Right, yeah

14:10Well speaking of that later that day on Monday on March 26 the beehive and Twitter just went crazy trying

14:17to figure out

14:17Who was the actress that bit Beyonce? So there was a whole process of elimination that happened?

14:22The effort was fueled by Chrissy Teigen who was tweeting basically trolling all of us and it would just stir

14:28the pot of it

14:29Stirring up the pot. She basically was like I before I leave this earth

14:32I need to know who did it and then she was like oh wait

14:34I just found out who it is I've never would have guessed who it was but I've said too much

14:38And so everyone was like wait Chrissy girl tell us who is it like the beehive was her and she

14:43loves stirring the pot too

14:44She does she was like totally stirring the pot cause she knows it's like she even at one point tweeted

14:49like I have to ask John to make sure it wasn't me

14:51So Chrissy Teigen is just crazy

14:53Chrissy

14:54So the beehive then proceeded to use all the clues that we have which is that it happened on a

14:59specific date in December in LA after Jay-Z concert

15:02So using social media the beehive basically process of elimination narrowed down

15:07Everyone who could have possibly been involved in who bit Beyonce gate

15:11All right, so to get down to the bottom of this we invited our resident conspiracy expert sojourner Ella B

15:25We have a fierce perpetrator on the loose and we need to get to the bottom of this because this

15:30is absolutely unacceptable

15:31Now before we get into the team everybody we have four suspects. Let's take a look at them. We have

15:36Sarah Foster

15:37Sanai Lathan Tiffany Haddish herself and Lena Dunham. Okay. Yeah, I'm just gonna hop right into it

15:42My vote for Becky with the Stank Teeth is Sanai Lathan. Okay, this girl now Tiffany's a chatty patty

15:48We all know this but I do I highly doubt that she would get out there spewing some false information

15:53So she's telling sources it was Sanai Lathan then I'm thinking it was Sanai Lathan now

15:58Speaking of a timeline Tiffany had a comedy show in January where she mentioned the bite

16:04She didn't say Beyonce's name

16:05But she was saying that there are actresses out here biting people and she said the actress is somebody who

16:10dated rapper French Montana now

16:12Sanai Lathan star of love and basketball star brown sugar she dated French Montana

16:18Oh, okay

16:20And the beehive has been putting out that there's a lot of videos of Sanai Lathan out there where she

16:25there are plenty

16:25She's very wasted a little too much. Yeah, so you can kind of see that like maybe this could have

16:31happened

16:31Okay, now as you just saw Sanai did tweet, you know

16:35She was like I I would I love that you all think that I could have done this

16:38But I never would have if anything she said if anything it would have been a love bite

16:42But like we said she may she maybe thought this love bite

16:46Was a love bite, but she was the bitter was this bite exactly was it on the face?

16:52I feel like on the face. Yeah, she said on her face. She bit her on her face. Do you

16:56know how much?

16:57Beyonce's face is worth

16:58You're not putting that I was wondering maybe from that selfie we saw maybe be active with hiding the bite

17:03mark behind Tiffany had is right?

17:08I know I will say people in the internet were savage to after that tweet if she's like if I

17:15It'd be a love bite and then they were sending emojis of OJ Simpson being like if I did do

17:44All right, so we just got to me. Okay, another one else is on the list. Another one of the

17:49suspects

17:50Suspects is Sarah Foster who I'm not gonna lie. I actually didn't even know who Sarah Foster was

17:54I had to go to her. She was on the 210 show

17:56She was on the 210 show.

17:59I love Sarah Foster. She's not very small on Instagram, and she's a comedian

18:02But she's known for doing really outrageous things like she's very out of the box

18:05Right, which that was yeah, because at first I was like maybe it's Jennifer Lawrence

18:09But then of course the beehive very quickly was like Google. No J-Law was in New York that night

18:14couldn't have been her

18:14So Sarah Foster was the next suspect on the list, but she denied the rumors on Instagram actually

18:23She wrote that flattery it was flattering that anyone thinks that she could get that close to Beyonce

18:27But it actually was not her and then she also it was funny

18:31I think the Huffington Post had reached out to various people to see if it was them

18:34Huffington Post actually confused Sarah Foster with Jodie Foster

18:37So they reached out to Jodie Foster's rep by accident and Jodie Foster's rep was like Jodie would never be

18:43a part of this basically at all

18:45Yeah, so there's been something that comes to this investigation as well

18:48So then another another suspect that everyone was saying was Lena Dunham and

18:55It's taking a step back. I could see it

18:57I could see and the best part is Lena owns this part of her personality and she actually tweeted and

19:03said as the patron saint of she would do that

19:06I didn't and I think that's hilarious and I believe her so I think Lena is ruled out of there

19:12I know it's so funny how we're all like suddenly thinking like no, who is the type of personality that

19:17could find it?

19:17I don't think like that's not

19:18I would have asked but now you're like thinking about it. It has to be a quality. It's like you're

19:23funny. You bite Beyonce

19:26But it makes it harder because Chrissy and Tiffany said it's somebody who you would never all right go

23:29And I think it's one of the movies that we're seeing lately with all black cast

23:34Kind of tackling this like suspense, thriller, horror genre

23:40We had Get Out last year

23:42Now we have Acrimony

23:44Why do you think the time is ripe for people to really see black cast and black characters

23:50Like really going for these really out there storylines and roles and characters

23:55And bringing these really intense stories to life

23:57Because those are our stories as well

23:59Yeah

23:59You know, they're human stories

24:01It doesn't really have color

24:02It's just humans being humans

24:04Yeah

24:05Now shifting gears a little bit

24:07A lot of people say that Tyler Perry movies often depict black women as like emotionally unstable or angry

24:16And some people might say that acrimony also fits into that as well

24:20How would you respond to that critique?

24:22Well, I'm just sorry that people judge this so much

24:25But that's what humans do, right?

24:27Yeah

24:28You know, I just believe that you tell a story and it's up to the artist to give you the

24:35whys

24:36Why this person is the way they are

24:39It's not like they don't exist

24:40He's not snatching these characters out of the sky

24:43These characters exist

24:45And so, you know, my job is not to judge it

24:49I do my job and I do it as truthfully and honestly as I can

24:53Therefore, I leave it up

27:19You should because he was just named the new artistic director of menswear at Louis Vuitton

27:26Making him the first African American to hold that position at a European luxury brand

27:33But one thing I thought that was interesting about this

27:35Actually Channing on our fashion team wrote about how you know

27:38Virgil is kind of like a mentee of Kanye's

27:40He came up in the in the world of fashion with Kanye

27:42And Kanye has often been shut out of a lot of these like fashion spaces

27:46Especially by brands like Louis Vuitton

27:48So it's really interesting that Virgil is getting all of this love

27:51But Kanye has always kind of been shut down because he's a little bit more vocal and divisive

27:56And so Virgil is like

27:58Yeah, absolutely

27:59I mean he has a whole persona and probably just like people

28:02Yeah, so yeah Channing's big point that she made in the article was about how like

28:05Basically Kanye has always been very pro-black

28:08He's always been a little bit more like opinionated

28:10Right

28:10And Virgil's always kind of just like slightly gone under the radar

28:13So it's very interesting that of the two of them

28:14Virgil's the one who ended up getting this kind of love

28:39And so she just recently did an interview with Billboard basically about

28:42Time's Up and Me Too saying how it hasn't quite made it to country music

28:45And basically this is kind of her stamp to be like

28:47We are here, women are a part of country music and we want to be played on the radio

28:52After a lot of controversial stuff happened
