00:00I think I'm wearing pebble cream, so...
00:05Hi.
00:13I just woke up.
00:18I don't know where Michael went.
00:20Let's go see.
00:32We made almond milk ice cubes yesterday.
00:38Turned out well.
00:39They actually look pretty good.
00:41You gonna put them in your coffee?
00:43I wasn't planning to, but I guess I can.
00:46We're on our way to the gym.
00:48It's a new gym I've never been to because our old gym closed for construction,
00:53so they moved us to this gym.
00:55Just wanted for a quick workout.
00:57Michael has been.
00:58How's the gym?
00:59It's good.
00:59We've got everything we need.
01:01Everything?
01:03Literally every single thing.
01:04Okay.
01:05Am I gonna have fun?
01:06We're gonna have a blast.
01:06Because I'm really hungry.
01:08I'm working on my handstands, and I'm getting better,
01:11but I'm still only able to do it against a wall.
01:13I can't just do it in the middle of the room.
01:16But that is my 2018 goal.
01:20I want to be able to walk into this position,
01:27and then just kick up slowly into a handstand.
01:31Like this.
01:36I can't do it.
01:38One, two, three.
01:39One, two, three.
01:40Oh, my gosh.
01:45You can't go to that.
01:47We're done.
01:48Time for pancakes.
01:50That's alright.
01:51So Michael and I have lived in New York City for four years, three to four years, and even
01:59though we live here, I feel like we've never done the real touristy holiday things that
02:04happen around the holiday times.
02:07Things like ice skating at Bryant Park, or looking at the Rockefeller Christmas tree,
02:12or going to Chelsea Market.
02:14He actually went to Chelsea Market for the first time last month, so I think that today
02:20we're going to play tourists in New York and see all of the holiday things that we can
02:26do in the city.
02:28Time for breakfast.
02:30The almond milk ice cubes were left out.
02:33They don't look too hot.
02:35It'll be fine.
02:38It's iced almond milk.
02:40Yeah, but isn't it going to go bad being in the air?
02:43Not good.
02:45I don't know about that.
02:46Okay.
02:47We need one and two thirds cups of mix to one and a half cups of water.
02:54All right, that's one.
02:56That's not what you use to measure solid stuff.
03:00What?
03:03We just talked about this.
03:05Michael said this is not what you use to measure solid stuff.
03:10This is just liquids?
03:11Yeah.
03:12Oh.
03:15Got it.
03:17Going to be honest with you, I just transferred the contents into the solids bucket.
03:22And it looks about the same to me.
03:24What do you think?
03:25I agree.
03:26So, what do you have to say for yourself?
03:28It was a test.
03:29It was a test.
03:31All right, Mike, so now we add one and a half cups of water to this.
03:34If you want to go ahead and use the liquid measure.
03:37Okay, let's do it.
03:49We believe Michael might have made a couple of them a little too thick.
03:53Notice how he filled up that snowman about halfway.
03:58Off we go.
04:03All right, so it's kind of more like a Christmas tree, not bad.
04:08But it could be better.
04:10This is how they came out.
04:12Honestly, they taste pretty good, but they look weird.
04:16This one's the closest to the actual shape.
04:19It was a little too thick.
04:19Yeah, this is Frosty the Snowman.
04:21Not bad.
04:23But from now on, we're just going circles.
04:26Seems like the safest bet for a lot of reasons.
04:31We're on the way to Bryant Park.
04:35First stop to the Christmas markets and the ice skating rink that Michael's never been to
04:41before.
04:42I've walked past, but never actually been into it.
04:44I'm truly a tourist.
04:46Truly tourist central right now.
04:48Oh look, Mike, we're here and we're going to Bryant Park.
04:57All right, we're going the right way.
05:05We made it and it's a Christmas wonderland in here.
05:10Check it out.
05:12Winter Village.
05:26It looks like there's not that long in the line.
05:29So I have a feeling we're going to get our wristbands, get on the ice rink, and not have
05:34to wait, which is so exciting.
05:35You can fall right away.
05:36We might fall.
05:38But I've heard a lot of people have to wait and there's no line.
05:42So this is great news.
05:43Okay, thanks.
05:43I'm the best.
05:52Yes.
05:53Alright, we're on.
05:56Shall I take a bath?
05:57Yeah.
06:07Oh no.
06:10I'm not allowed to do this.
06:12Not enough.
06:12Oh man.
06:13So that was really fun, we got in trouble two times for having this camera on the ice,
06:19which is probably smart.
06:21Overall it was fun and now we are on our way to eat some Italian food for lunch before
06:26we go to Rockefeller Center and see the big Christmas tree.
06:38Woo!
06:39Sometimes New York City is very scary.
06:42We are about to round the corner, the tree should be right there.
06:49And...
06:50Dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun!
06:55How does it feel to have made it to the tree?
06:58Feels good, feels good.
06:59You know, I've worked all my life for this and all my hard work has paid off.
07:03You think?
07:04I think so, I think so.
07:06You know, it's a little emotional but I'm keeping it together.
07:11Whoa!
07:14Let's check out the rink.
07:16This is actually probably the nicest rink in the city, I'd say.
07:21So this one is lifted up and there's a nice gold fountain.
07:29You can see all the people around it.
07:33We just left the Rockefeller Plaza Christmas tree, one of the biggest Christmas trees in
07:39the world, I think.
07:41And now we're on our way to stop three of our New York City holiday tour which is...
07:46Chelsea.
07:48Market.
07:49We just got a text, we are officially going over to my friend Lauren's house for dinner.
07:54We've never been before but she and her fiancé, Stan, recently got engaged so the four of us
08:03are going to have a little double date.
08:04She's cooking us dinner and she just texted me that the entire meal is gluten free and vegan.
08:12Lots of plant based protein coming our way.
08:38We're here.
08:56We took an entire walk through Chelsea Market and we forgot to get a cookie so we're going
09:03back.
09:03We found one.
09:04We got it.
09:06Chocolate chips.
09:09Heated up.
09:10Nice.
09:11All warmed up.
09:14Oh yeah.
09:16We're trying to pick out a present to bring Magenta and Stan.
09:20He's Jewish and she's half Jewish, maybe the star.
09:24This is like holiday chocolates but with Jewish holiday colors.
09:30That's right.
09:30I think this is the one.
09:32We've decided to go half Jewish colors, half Christmas colors.
09:37So we're going to get one of these trees.
09:40And we out.
09:41Got our bag to take over to Lauren's house tonight.
09:45And now we're off to our apartment to rest.
09:56The day's not even over.
09:58We're packing up a little picnic bag to bring to Lauren and Stan's.
10:03So far we've got this salami that we want to share with them.
10:10These little brownie bites that we made last night so that we can have them for dessert.
10:16We've got this garlic hot sauce that I'm donating to Lauren because I know she's going to like it.
10:24And then here's the chocolates we got at Chelsea Market.
10:29The little tree.
10:32And we are also bringing over a bottle of white wine.
10:37Just, you know, because we're adults.
10:40And now we are on the way to Queens.
10:43It's really hard to vlog in the rain but we just left for Lauren's and it's raining.
10:48We're vlogging in the rain.
10:50It's just way too hard to vlog in the rain so I'm going to have to shut you off.
10:55Hello.
10:57I have roasted vegetables.
10:59Hey Stan.
11:00Hi.
11:01So welcome to our gluten free vegan dinner.
11:05Ooh.
11:07I made from my own brain from scratch a vegan chili.
11:12She like figured it out and decided this is what it will taste like on the subway.
11:16Yeah.
11:16Wow.
11:17Isn't that so fun?
11:18So it's filled with quinoa, lentils, carrots, jalapenos, garlic, onion, mushroom, kale.
11:27Oh my gosh.
11:28Um, sriracha is the secret ingredient.
11:31Don't worry.
11:31It's just little.
11:32Oh my God.
11:32Wait, is that gluten free?
11:33I'm sure.
11:34Okay, great.
11:35And then that's it.
11:36Vegetable broth.
11:37So there's no dairy and no meat.
11:40And this amazing garlic bread.
11:43Wait, I have band-aids on all my hands.
11:46You only have two so.
11:47Only two hands, two band-aids.
11:49Hey guys.
11:50I'm going to tell you.
11:51We're all together.
11:52And we're playing Settlers of Catan.
11:56Has anyone ever played this game before?
11:58Because I just learned the rules.
12:01It is the actual rules.
12:01Have you learned the rules?
12:02I've been told the rules and I'm still a little confused.
12:06But I have all my houses and settlements.
12:09I have logs.
12:10Sorry, roads.
12:12Houses and settlements.
12:13And cities.
12:13And we have Sour Patch Kids.
12:15Seems like a trade will not work.
12:17Michael and I see are literally fighting.
12:20It's been great knowing you, but I do not wear the game of Catan.
12:24We will say I'm trying to settle.
12:26We'll just come together for Settlers.
12:28The kid wants to give me a sheep in exchange for my wood.
12:32The problem is I'm good with sheep.
12:35Is she a good Settler of Catan?
12:37She's very frustrating.
12:38Can I just say, this is important.
12:40This is a good call by Lucy because her wood is blocked.
12:42And she can't even collect wood right now.
12:44So she can't be trading that away.
12:45Can't be trading my wood.
12:46Stan's being too logical.
12:48It's 12.48 a.m.
12:50Who won Settlers of Catan?
12:52Stan won.
12:54Congrats on your big win.
12:56This means a lot.
12:56I would like to make an acceptance speech.
12:57Is this a good time?
12:58This is a good time.
12:59I would like to thank my mother because if she hadn't given birth to me,
13:01I wouldn't be here in this moment to have this huge accomplishment under my belt.
13:07I also have to say guys, I was straight up the village idiot the entire time.
13:12She was not.
13:13I was just the village idiot because I was new to the game and I just didn't understand yet.
13:18But I think next time they're going down.
