01:01a maximum fine of 5,000 ringgit, up to two years imprisonment and supervision for up to
01:08three years upon conviction. In a separate proceeding before Magistrate Akhartiaini, the court fixed
01:14October 7 for the next mention of the murder case pending the victim's pathology report.
01:20Aravind told reporters that documents relating to the murder charge under Section 302 of the Penal
01:27Code would typically be handed to the defence after the case is transferred to the High Court if the
01:34charge remains unchanged. Saktiga Anapathy is accused of murdering 33-year-old delivery rider
01:40Amirul Hafiz Omar along Jalan Raya Bharat, Klang at 11.47am on March 29. He is alleged to have been
01:50driving under the influence of drugs at the time. The charge under Section 302 of the Penal Code carries
01:57the death penalty or imprisonment of between 30 and 40 years and at least 12 strokes of the cane upon
02:03conviction. The victim's widow, Noor Nadia Abdul Majid, 32, and two family members were present in court.
