A 51-year-old man has been charged in the Magistrate's Court in Tampin, Negri Sembilan, with the murder of Suri Narudin, whose body was discovered in a bag buried behind a house near Rembau.

00:25the High Court. Zainizan, who was unrepresented, is accused of killing 53-year-old Suri behind a
00:32house on Jalan Perdaslinghi, Rembau, between December 7 and 18. He faces charges under Section 302 of the
00:40Penal Code, which carries either a death sentence or imprisonment of 30 to 40 years. If the death
00:46sentence is not imposed, the law also mandates a minimum of 12 strokes of the cane. The case was
00:53adjourned to January 27 for mention, pending forensic and post-mortem reports.
00:59Nergri Sembilan Police Chief Datuk Al-Zafni Ahmad previously said that following the discovery
01:05of the buried body, two men aged 51 and 41 were detained to assist with the investigation.
01:12The deceased was initially believed to be a woman reported missing from Ampang on December 8.
01:18Suri's identity was later confirmed through fingerprint verification with the National
01:23Registration Department.
