00:18Magistrate Sharifah Fatimah Azura Wan Ali fixed the date on Monday following an application
00:24by DPP Jun Xiao Chonghui, who informed the court that the prosecution was awaiting the
00:30DNA analysis and post-mortem reports.
00:34Twenty-four-year-old Zakwan Mokhtar, who was unrepresented, is accused of causing the
00:40death of 29-year-old Nurul Asikin.
00:44Her decomposed remains were found on December 14.
00:47The charge, framed under Section 302 of the Penal Code, carries the death penalty or
00:54imprisonment of not less than 30 years and up to 40 years upon conviction.
