00:00I don't know if this person is serious or not, but I hope so for you.
00:05From the text line, you're wrong, show.
00:07Not only am I going to watch MLS, I'm looking to start playing soccer in my free time.
00:13I hope so for you.
00:15I would just argue, or argue, whatever it is that I just said.
00:21Just argue it a bit.
00:23I just argue that, I don't know, in a month, I don't think,
00:28I think many people will kind of go back, most people will kind of go back
00:32to how they watched and went through soccer.
00:38I mean, every young kid plays it.
00:40Yeah, I got you.
00:41But I just, I don't know.
00:43We'll see.
00:44Could be wrong.
00:45Maybe this sucker is about to roll out.
00:46The Dash and the Dynamo are about to really jump out here.
00:52I don't think so.
00:53But I'm in.
00:54Next time this sucker comes, the Women's World Cup,
00:57the Olympics, I'm in.
00:59When's the Women's World Cup?
01:01Sure.
01:01Do they space them out?
01:02Did it make sense and they spread them out over two years?
01:05I think it is.
01:05We get a little something?
01:07I think it is the 2007.
01:10Are women more competitive than our men?
01:12Oh, yeah.
01:12They've won it recently.
01:16It is 2027.
01:20What's coming up?
01:222027, FIFA Women's World Cup.
01:24Where's it at?
01:25Brazil.
01:28Yep.
01:30June 24th through July 25th.
01:32I know how to move them hips down there.
01:35Thanks, Shakira.
01:36I'm a South American lady.
01:38He's in Brazil.
01:39There you are.
01:40T-Mills best bets coming up at some point in the 5 o'clock hour.
01:44You ready for that?
01:47Yeah, I hope they take a jump.
01:49I'm not sure if they will.
01:50All right, speaking of taking a jump, Clinton,
01:53I see some people jumping in on this on the text line, YouTube, and Twitch.
01:59You feel like this defense has a legit chance to be better than it was last year.
02:05I do.
02:06I do.
02:07Look, I think there's going to be, obviously, a little bit of an uptick with Reed Blankenship.
02:14Now, I'm assuming everybody can stay healthy.
02:16A little uptick with Reed Blankenship.
02:19I think there's going to be a little bit of an uptick with Caden McDonald,
02:24the guy that was slotted to be arguably the best defensive tackle,
02:28interior defensive tackle in this draft.
02:31He slid in the second round.
02:32We got him.
02:33I think that's an improvement at two positions.
02:38And so I think you see some there.
02:39I think, overall, you always hear talking about the next year or multiple years in a system.
02:45It's obviously better.
02:47I think we're going to see that as well with damn near the whole crew.
02:51And I think the biggest piece of this is I think the –
02:56now, I don't think the Texans are going to be able to run the football to a Super Bowl,
03:02but I do believe that they are going to run the ball better than they did before,
03:09and I think that's going to bode well for our defense as well.
03:12So, yeah, I do.
03:13I think they're going to be better this year than they were last year.
03:19I've yet to compare this year's schedule to last year's schedule and the quarterbacks that were on it
03:25and yada, yada, yada.
03:26I don't – so year over year, I don't know statistically if it's going to rank higher,
03:31but I do think there's a chance that they could be an overall better defense than what they were last
03:36year.
03:38Yeah, a chance, yes.
03:40It is really hard to repeat that.
03:42And I think the big thing that you spoke about was the injury thing.
03:49I think there are two big things that hold me back into thinking like they're going to be better than
03:55they were last year.
03:57I think the big one is the injury situation.
04:00They – not that they didn't have any injuries.
04:03I think Aziz missed a game.
04:05I think Lasseter maybe missed a game or some time.
04:09You lost that number two safety when it was –
04:12Yeah.
04:12That was kind of a turnstile when Chauncey –
04:15Chauncey bounced out.
04:16Yeah, yeah, MJ Stewart got injured.
04:18So, yeah, and Miles Bryant had to do some things.
04:21I think Jalen Petrie missed some games with concussions.
04:26He missed, I think, the same amount of games CJ did.
04:28So, you had some, right, but not, you know, not anything like we've seen on the other side of the
04:36ball.
04:36We've seen the Texans have no Niko, no Tank, no Stephon Diggs.
04:43We've seen their offensive line have a ton of injuries.
04:47No Niko.
04:48Yeah, no Niko, no Dalton Schultz in the playoff game.
04:50Yeah, we've seen that.
04:52And that's hard to, you know, to predict.
04:56Because if they're healthy, this is a group that knows the defense.
05:01This is a group that is coached by greatness with D'Amico Ryans and Matt Burke
05:06and how they, in terms of, you know, putting together a defense and calling the defense.
05:11And they just have a lot of flexibility to do things that other defenses can't do.
05:17But the injury factor, and to me, Flynn, I think there are a lot of teams that are really, really
05:27looking at how to attack this defense more than maybe other times.
05:34I think people are looking at this and like, I mean, this is a serious, like, what are we going
05:38to do?
05:38What do we need?
05:39They're spending their offseason figuring out how to defeat D'Amico Ryans' defense.
05:43Yeah, it's gotten to that point.
05:46You know, like, and this is about to be a copycat thing.
05:50And if they see anything that at all works, teams are going to do that.
05:53And I'm not going to tell you they're going to have great success.
05:55I just think that this is probably a team that's more a top five defense than a top one or
06:05two defense, potentially.
06:06Just when you factor in generally how this stuff works out from year to year.
06:13Still think they're going to be great.
06:14Still think they're going to be the driving force of this team.
06:19But to get what exactly they got last year were the combination of, man, their coverage and their secondary and
06:26the health.
06:27And the other part is, I think there's some depth, at least questions at this point.
06:33One of the big keys to this group is how many defensive linemen they like to bring in.
06:39I like the Cade McDonald thing.
06:41And I think down the line, Cade McDonald is going to potentially be better than any defensive tackle they have
06:47had.
06:48Cade McDonald run through here doing this.
06:50But right now, there's a lot of veteran guys that they had last year that aren't a part of this
06:57anymore.
06:58From right now, at least Derek Barnett to Danico Autry.
07:06Tim Settle's not here.
07:07Foley's not here.
07:10Speed.
07:11Yeah, EJ Speed.
07:13And there are other guys across that defensive line that were big parts of this group and their rotation that
07:21they're going to be younger and less known commodities that are going to have to jump in there.
07:26So I do think that is a bit of a factor.
07:31They were able to stay unbelievably healthy last year, man.
07:34You're right.
07:35If they can do that again, it's going to be hard to match that.
07:37But if they can, look out.
07:39Yeah.
07:40Text line coming through.
07:41This defense has a chance to be one of the best all around at every single position overall defenses that
07:48the NFL has ever seen.
07:49When you look at all the defensive players we have, it's just incredible.
07:53It is a hell of a group.
07:56It is a hell of a group.
07:57And, again, if they can stay, you guarantee me that they're going to stay as healthy as they did last
08:04year.
08:04And then, you know, they don't have any major – I mean, like you said, the most difficult thing that
08:11was long-term was moving on from C.J. Gardner-Johnson and M.J. Stewart being out for the season.
08:19They had to fill that void.
08:21But they had to fill that void at a safety position that included Jalen Petrie and Kalen Bullock and, you
08:27know, other guys that they can use.
