00:06well hello everyone and happy Saturday to you it's lovely to see you all again and I hope that I
00:12find
00:12you very well indeed so thanks for coming back over this week just to see what I picked up for
00:18the family food shopping and for a wee change we've gone to Aldi now don't get me wrong when
00:23I say we've gone to Aldi it's all the same stuff it's just a different shop or their version of
00:29what we normally get so yeah Aldi a couple of things from Tesco and the local butcher spent just
00:34under 60 pounds and I feel as though there's quite a lot here for the money so as usual I'll
00:40just run
00:40you through everything that I've got and I'll put the prices on the screen as we go as well it
00:46was
00:46really good fun actually looking around Aldi but like I said we do usually just pick up things
00:51things that we always buy just their own version of it but I picked up a couple of rolls for
00:56the
00:56lunch and I'm just going to put a banana in the rolls you know nothing exciting I need these are
01:00the bananas here and these are 16p each I forgot that Aldi actually priced their bananas individually
01:06and then the tuna and Aldi now isn't any cheaper you know it's £2.49 whether you get it from
01:11Tesco or
01:12Sainsbury's because they price match a lot of the Aldi items now so things that used to be cheaper
01:18now aren't and then some bin liners as well and then some butter it's exactly the same with the butter
01:24it's £1.99 in Sainsbury's for their own butter and Tesco so yeah price matched again some chicken
01:30stock pots because I completely run out of those and then I needed quite a lot of mushrooms I'm going
01:35to be doing a creamy chicken and mushroom soup at some point so I did need double the mushrooms
01:41for that and then a couple of the large pots of yogurt so I got one of the cherry ones
01:47and then our
01:48usual mango papaya and passion fruit just the Aldi version same with the lentil chips we
01:54normally buy these it's just the branded version so it'll be nice to compare and then a couple of
01:59tins of the chicken and white sauce from Tesco and this makes a lovely pie filling or even mixed
02:04through pasta with a wee bit of cheese on the top a couple of cans of their own baked beans
02:10because
02:10again I like to compare the different supermarket baked beans a pack of the mushroom microwave rice
02:16which I thought would be lovely you know with something and then a pack of their higher protein
02:21wraps these were recommended by one of you so it'll be fun to see you know what they're like
02:25compared to my normal higher protein wraps some of the flushable wet wipes and some of the
02:31Weetabix knockoff wheat bisques and these are just as nice as Weetabix and then from the butcher I picked
02:38up a steak and sausage pie these are quite expensive for what they are but you know it's actually bigger
02:43than it looks on the screen and then another pack of rice and this is the Indian style or
02:48pilau rice which is lovely and I have had that one from Aldi before and then a bulb of garlic
02:55again
02:55this is for the chicken and mushroom soup that I'm going to be doing and then I got some of
02:59these
02:59turkey ends and I thought this was brilliant value you know just for a change from chicken and sandwiches
03:05or wraps so yeah I reckon that's going to be really tasty and then a pack of their own digestive
03:11biscuits
03:11a couple of packs of the beef savoury rice which I love for a quick lunch it's full of flavour
03:17and then
03:18a bag of salad as well and then for soups I got one of the carrot and coriander one of
03:24the cream of
03:24mushroom and two of the tomato soup as well just for the cupboard a couple of packs of pasta and
03:30sauce
03:30from Tesco Aldi didn't have any of this and then a bag of corn mints for the freezer and then
03:36a big bag
03:37of their own McCain's style french fries which we really like so that will be interesting to see how
03:43they compare a big bag of our usual tatties and then I needed some tissue paper for a gift that
03:49I need to
03:50wrap you know instead of wrapping the gift I just put it in a gift bag and pad out the
03:54bag with tissue
03:55paper and it holds the gift really securely and it means you don't have to get this L-tape out
04:00so
04:01that was everything that I picked up from Aldi a couple of things from Tesco and that wee pie
04:06from the butcher so thank you so much for watching and a huge thank you as usual to the supporters
