00:00DJI believes that you care more about weight than wires, but can an 11 gram microphone really
00:05deliver professional grade audio? We're about to find out. This might be DJI's entry level
00:11microphone, but it still packs flagship level quality. Sure, you might not get the 32 bit float
00:16from the DJI Mic 3, but you're getting 24 bit 48 kilohertz playback. You get two levels of active
00:22noise cancellation and all of that with a massive 48 hours of battery life with the charging cats.
00:27So what aren't you getting? Well, it ditches the bulky screen from the DJI Mic 3, but that does mean
00:33that all of the creative controls are now done through the app, which is a little clunky. However,
00:38this form factor is a game changer for creatives. You can clip it onto your collar, tuck it under a
00:44shirt or just leave it in plain sight with many of the different color changing faces you can get for
00:49it. It does still leave the DJI logo visible though, which is a little bit of a pain point.
00:53So it's great for creators. However, the hidden truth is that this thing doesn't pack a three and
00:58a half mil jack, which means it's kind of useless for professionals who love to use a lavalier.
01:03There's also no internal backup inside the Mic 2 and unlike the Mic 3, it doesn't have 32 bit float.
01:10So you are kind of just relying on what's in front of you. DJI Mic Mini 2 is still a
01:14bit of a no brainer to
01:15me, especially for people that are just starting out that have this smartphone and just want to get into a
01:20bit of content creation. Sure, the Mic 3 has better professional audio capabilities, but this thing
01:25you can't argue with the price.
