00:34yeah it looks like they're both yeah yeah i was thinking that there was probably going to be a
00:38spot available um and lucas has been playing well but that that was like more of a long shot type
00:42thing but uh man i'm today he's finished tied in fifth so matt fitzpatrick doesn't have necessarily
00:48like the best open championship record um but it's starting to get a little bit better over the last
00:53couple years fitz he's a guy that i i think he's he's he's poised to have a great week played

00:58this this past week at the scottish i think he's his ball striking was a little bit off on the
01:02weekend at the u.s open but he put himself in contention uh right from right from the get-go
01:07at that one windham's playing some dang good golf chris gotter up is playing incredible golf and he's
01:13seems to really like the open championship uh played well um in his debut last year at port rush
01:19finishing third uh i would say that those are kind of the guys i got my eye on i mean

01:25it's these in tom kim being another name too but those are that's you know these are guys that
01:31tommy fleetwood guys that hit hit a bunch of fairways i think he's going to be key um in thinking
01:36that if it's going to be hot i'm just curious like how windy is it going to be like is

01:40be uh an open championship where they you know are able to take it pretty deep you know i i

01:46imagine that's what i'm reading that there's not a ton of bad weather the forecast yeah so i i think
01:51that brings in a lot of players that have a um you know the open championship their their motto is
01:58forged by nature right if nature doesn't show up sometimes these golf courses uh they'll need to be
02:04crispy i think the crispiness of this place will will be its defense and it just depends on how fast
02:10they want to get the greens um a lot of times you don't see them get them too fast so

02:15be just can you try to get your ball to stop um on you know when you get these fairways

02:42roars um this week is this without seeing the golf course yet and knowing like what his game is
02:49like roy's an aggressive player right but when you think about like how tiger woods played open
02:54championships or even just golf courses that get firm he would always get that two iron out and he
03:00would just put that ball in play just hit the senior i'm wondering if the conditions being crispy
03:05and firm if that'll almost make him play a little bit more conservative and putting the ball in for
03:11in the fairway and not hitting the driver quite as much now the driver for him is such an advantage
03:17it's so many different golf courses and maybe um at a golf course like this there could be some
03:23bunkers that he can be able to eliminate that other guys wouldn't be able to and that would be a
03:28time
03:28where he can hit that driver but uh i could see man i i don't want to put words in
03:34my mouth without
03:35really seeing the course uh live and seeing how guys are attacking it but uh i just it just my
03:41memory
03:41goes back to just tiger and how how all how he would just hit that singer and wouldn't even hit

03:46driver the whole week at some some of these open championship venues what also depending on wind
03:50direction right like where there are certain holes where into wind if rory's pulling driver and he's
03:57hitting it that much further than guys who are still hitting everything in their bag as well and
04:00then flip around with the wind and he's able to kind of place a driving iron i then if he
04:04gets in a
04:04rhythm with those wedges where like if he's on with the wedges you know yeah we're running away so it

04:11just depends on the bunker positioning out there i gotta that's what i need to see is is uh how
04:16aggressive you can play the golf course with driver if it's one that you gotta you know similar to like
04:20true that really requires you on some of the holes on the front side to to uh to have to
04:25eliminate a
04:26bunker and and make a decision uh what club to hit
